Smart Suite & Apartments

Spent 7 nights in a Superior Double Room at Grindi Suite and it was brilliant. From the moment we arrived til we left, we felt like we were in our own little apartment in town and could not have been more comfortable. The ‘’hotel’’ is split in 2, with 4 rooms located on the other side of the pedestrian road from where the hotel reception is based but this meant that you could come and go as you pleased with complete independence. Breakfast is served in the adjacent restaurant with a decent spread each day, best of all cake for breakfast! The room itself was spacious, airy, with high ceilings and big windows and a patio door leading out onto a very private terrace. The terrace itself doesn’t get any sun but it was actually a welcome respite. The bed was incredibly comfortable and large, as was the bathroom with a great rain shower, lighting and halfway decent hairdryer. The air con was superb and much needed as given the hotel is right in the town off the main square, it’s noisy, but as soon as you close the windows/doors, the outside noises disappear and the air con keeps you cool. Blackout and voile curtains also maintain privacy and let you sleep til late! The room also included a mini fridge, kettle and coffee maker and a safe plus lots of hanging space and plenty of extra place to sit or place your luggage. The room was incredibly comfortable and CLEAN and we were very happy. The only downsides were that the wifi just didn’t work on our phones and the walls are paper thin so you can hear everything from the rooms next door and below. When there are kids staying in these rooms (they accommodate more people so there invariably will be), it can be frustrating. BUT, the location is excellent – right in town, next to a divine gelateria and pizza slice place and 5mins from the beach. Staff are all really friendly too, a big plus. We absolutely would stay again and wish we were there now!
