We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this immaculately restored dairy farm. Although the hosts have no English and we have no Italian we managed to book with the help of Google translate and communicate quite handily during our stay. We hired a car and there would be no alternative if you wanted to stay here but driving was easy and we made day trips all over the area. We went to Parma, Modena, Reggio and of course Mantova. The meals in the dining room were outstanding. Dinner was multiple courses of plentiful house made food and absolutely delicious. Washed down with a bottle of Lambrusco it was the highlight of our days. As the farm is surrounded by rice fields and a stones throw to the Po I asked the owner to make us risotto on our last night and it was easily the best risotto by far I have ever eaten. Highly recommend staying here for a visit to Emilia Romagna.
