I was pleasantly surprised when I was shown my room; very clean and tidy, small but this didn't matter to me as I was by myself and just using it as a base to see the sights around Rome. The street is right below but once you close those doors to the balcony, you can't hear a thing....apart from the massive thunder storm that ripped through at bed time. There are no kitchen facilities but there are plenty of good spots to eat at close by. It takes about 5 mins to walk down to where the shops are, (supermarket, Gelato bars, market style clothing venders etc. The tram stop is also in the same vicinity and is very handy for getting you to Piazza Venezia; this is a great point to carry on by foot to the Pantheon or Colosseum. It's the number 8 Tram you will be looking for and only costs 1.5 Euro. When I flew into Rome, by bag never even left the airport with me and instead I had to wait for 24 hrs before it arrived, but thankfully the Sisters gave me a spare toothbrush and toothpaste to use until my bag eventually arrived. English is not a problem and you will be made to feel at home. Finally, it is about 4.5kms from the Colosseum and 5-6kms from The Vatican, but with the tram/trains nearby, this wasn't an issue for me as I was preparing to walk anyway, but found out about the #8 Tram instead.
