My boyfriend and I spent a night here during our roadtrip down to Sicilia in August. We were very tired and had been going through a nightmare dealing with the mobile Airbnb site, but we found this place last minute and wow was it the right decision!! Booking was easy and fast, and despite arriving very late and getting a bit lost, we were greeted warmly by the managers, a beautiful friendly couple. The husband, Oronzo, showed us around and we were very impressed with our room, which came with everything we needed, and was spacious, cozy, and quiet. In the morning we were served a typical tasty Italian breakfast, and Oronzo sat and chatted with us. Despite my near non-existent Italian, we managed to talk quite a bit and understand each other. It was wonderful being able to chat with Oronzo and hear a bit about the history of the region and Italy in general; not only was he a patient and easy-to-understand converser, he was very passionate and knowledged about Italy's history, culture, art, and design! I only wished I could speak more Italian, since I am an art student. After a second round of caffè, we were on our way, well rested, full, and thoroughly satisfied. Stay here if you want to experience some true Italian hospitality and a wonderful chance to interact with friendly hosts. Out of all the places we stayed at in our 5 weeks in Italy (Venice, Bologna, Roma, Napoli, Salerno, Cosenza, Taormina, Palermo), this was by far our favourite. Views and rooms may have been prettier, but in the end it's the people we meet who make the memories!
