Su Gunventeddu

A small, completely renovated restaurant, opened on July 3, with a brand new management. The meal, proposed by the chef Gianluca Pino and served by a charming second in command Christian, consists of a fixed price (35 €) menu composed by several antipasti (you can chose between sea and earth), a first dish of pasta and a second of either meat or fish. Everything is simply delicious, starting from the bread (oven cooked pane carasau and other traditional sardinia bread), served with extra virgin olive oil (spremuto a freddo esclusivamente con mezzi meccanici). We had the sea menu, which included a dozen of antipasti of tuna fish, octopus cooked in at least two different ways, mullet, mussels, moray eel, cuttlefish with peas, several sauces of caramelized onions, both red and white, topinambours, followed by the fregola with mussels and fried calamari. The antipasto and the first dish were so abundant I had to cancel the calamari! But everything was extremely good and genuine, I do encourage you to try the place, one of the best in the area.
