I have been at the locanda in between two business trips (a conference in nearby Montecatini ended on a Thursday and I had to travel to Chicago on the next Sunday). This was a perfect place to work and also get some rest! There is a great quiet, and a pool immersed in the countryside. Ok Friday the hosts took good care of me, cooking for me a gluten-free pasta with calamari, walnuts and bacon (their recipe!) For dinner I visited the nearby Tuscan jewel Montecarlo di Lucca and, again, Montecatini. Must be a great place also for a longer stay, to systematically visit the surrounding cities (Pisa Lucca Pistoia and of course Firenze) with a quiet and charming base camp.
