I love the Dolomites. It has quickly become one of my favorite destinations in the world. Previously, we have stayed in Cortina but as a luxury travel advisor, I wanted and needed to check out the greater region. WOW, wow, wow. Ortisei is just magical, and it opens up accessibility to so many amazing hikes, rifugios, towns - what a fantastic location. Our stay at the Gardena Grodnerhof was PERFECT. I have a high standard especially for Virtuoso properties and they delivered on every level. The staff was incredible, extremely professional but so caring and warm. The rooms were perfectly appointed and generously sized in every category (we stayed in a 2 bedroom family suite which is dreamy for kids or couples traveling together!) and the spa is truly out of this world (seriously, better than any spa I've been to in the states, LOVED). They are embarking on a big renovation project that will be completed in the off season (opening back up in early December) and I cannot wait to see the additions, including a 3rd amazing restaurant! I will be recommending this piece of paradise to anyone who will listen, thank you to Alex, Simon and the entire team for such a wonderful experience.
