89 reviewsPapa Village may look a bit run down at first glance, but it is delightfully quirky and it suited us perfectly - we wanted to be within a reasonable distance of Salerno to return our hire car and then catch the train to Rome. Franco was very accommodating - he even drove into town so we could follow him to get some lunch. Our cabin was clean, surprisingly quiet given its proximity to the A3 and reasonably comfortable. The kitchen is sparsely equipped but I guess if you were coming here for a period of time, you would come prepared. Given this is the off-season, the pool is closed and Franco is busy doing some renovating/repairs. Just down the road about 100 metres there is a lake and Franco has kayaks (I assume for hire). The views to the surrounding mountains is stunning. Mormanno is on the edge of the Parco Nazionale del Pollino and just off the A3. If you only speak English, bring Google Translate with you - it's extremely helpful.
