Bed and Breakfast "La Magnolia"

Enrica and Roberto made us very welcome , very quickly made us feel like a part of their family. They helped with ideas and information to make our holiday enjoyable, suggesting places to visit and places to eat, so much so that we felt like one of the locals. The accommodation was excellent, immaculately clean, comfortable and well serviced our room included a smart television and air-conditioning etc. We had a room overlooking the garden with a private balcony we loved the outlook and being able to sit and relax with our wine! The breakfast was to " die for" included a varied selection of homemade local breads, cakes, fruit, pastries and savouries a lot of the fruit picked from the trees in the garden, the oil from Roberto's fathers olive trees and everything presented very well and explained to us. The area has so many interesting places to explore which makes Magnolia an excellent place to be based it became an oasis for us after our days exploring or our relaxing beach days. Salento is an area not spoilt by mass tourism, we only met one other British couple in our week stay, we don't speak Italian but this didn't hinder us, in fact it made the holiday more special everyone was so friendly and helpful we felt very very welcome everywhere! We felt very "safe" and carefree everywhere we went. We would suggest if you want to experience the type of holiday we had, a car is a must have, it enables you to explore the fantastic beaches and interesting sights, villages and towns ...don't forget the sat nav! It was our first time in Italy except for a short trip to Rome and cannot wait to return to Enrica and Roberto's home !
