Hotel Punto Verde

Every morning we woke up to the scent of freshly baking bread. Shortly afterward, we enjoyed a delicious, varied and lovingly prepared breakfast on the roomy, inviting and plant filled outdoor porch. The buffet included diverse croissants, pastries, cakes, breads, homemade jams and fresh honey, cereals, fresh juices, as well as freshly prepared eggs, smoked salmon, meats, local cheeses, avocado and fresh vegetables… also with various gluten-free and vegan options. There was also a power food section with a huge selection of seeds, nuts and dried berries. Breakfast bliss was complete with terrific Italian cappuccino, prepared and served by skilled baristas. The thoughtfulness and generosity of the breakfast is representative of how the entire hotel is run, with love, creativity and attention to detail. Rooms - ours rather small, but cozy and adequate, with a spacious balcony - have hand painted walls, hooks in all the right places and nice toiletries, and there are complimentary tea corners on each floor. There is also an unobtrusive encouragement to conserve, e.g. with recycling stations on each floor. The atmosphere at Punto Verde is relaxed and friendly and the service is very good. Location is excellent, a couple minute walk to the beach and about a 10 minute walk into the little town. Couples, single travelers and families with babies or young children all feel welcome and comfortable in this relaxed, lovely and personally run hotel. A great value and very highly recommended!
