I had an amazing stay at Palazzo Rocchi. I was very lucky to be upgraded to a suite. However I would have loved the place even if I had been in a standard room. I spoke to an Irish couple one morning and they were very happy with their more basic room. Breakfast is served in a beautiful sunny room and is one of the best I have ever had. The staff leave at 7pm but you are given a key so it's like having your own historic apartment in the centre of Lucca. Many thanks to Carlotta and the dark haired lady with the glasses. They were so friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back!
