Staying at Donizetti hotel at Lallio, Bergamo, Milan on vacation. Super hotel, great staff who were always willing to help night or day. Breakfast area had a small toaster which was fantastic because my son has several allergies. The toaster was handy as I was able to toast my son’s Costa rolls which I brought with me. Breakfast was good tea coffee different Bread once again suited my son as he is allergic to olive oil as well as nuts and mustard. Hotel rooms spacious, enough to accommodate three people. Good sized bathroom with shower. There is also a fridge and kettle with complementary tea, coffee. This hotel is near a busy road, however there is a zebra crossing. After crossing you can find other small coffee shops etc. Straight outside the hotel around 40 meters not a busy crossing, you will find a lovely restaurant, Beer Fest, not expensive who serve a great calzone and the tirimisu is not to be missed. Salmon was great with toasted NON OLIVE OIL bread. Outside the hotel turn to your direct right then first right again takes you to a bus stop. Take bus A5 which takes you to Bergamo town. Get off at the central station, take another bus up to city Altra which travels to the top of the town fantastic breathtaking views over the city.
