Convenient to explore Gran Sasso and with a level of comfort above average for the area, the biggest strengths of this hotel are its excellent service and its delicious cuisine, which is traditional but with a touch of finesse. In fact, most guests opt for half board, which includes a 4-course dinner: starter, first course (either pasta or rice), second course (meat with side), dessert. We are not big eaters and originally only booked for b&b, but eventually ate there daily, although not the full meal. Dining prices are not on display but I believe the full meal would cost 28 euros; looked like eating less was unusual as they had to work out a customised bill for us. There are different types of rooms and we had a triple room, room 107 (first floor, no lift) which was spacious and with a nice view, at the front of the hotel (facing west).
