Lido

My mother and I stayed for two nights. The room was clean, with a balcony looking into a yard. AC worked well. The hotel has a nice charm. It's been a family business for 60 years. There is an elevator which was helpful with our room on the 4th floor. Location is great. 8 minute walk to the beach. And even less to restaurants, gelato and shopping. No parking at the hotel, but the owner can direct you to where there is free parking in town. So just move the car after you unload your luggage. Grado is small, so everything can be reached by foot during your stay. For dinner, I suggest heading into the old town center. Breakfast at the hotel is good. Fresh coffee drinks, even espresso, ham, cheese, eggs, cucumbers, tomatoes, jam, honey, various sorts of bread, as well as panettone and a yummy chocolate cake. You can sit in the courtyard. The owner was really nice to us, very personable. Speaks fluent German. We had a great time!
