Globetrotter

We have previously stayed in homes in France, Israel and Switzerland, also in Rome. This was by far the best. We were in the immaculate home of gracious hosts Elio and Dr. Claudio for three nights while visiting the Amalfi Coast, Naples, Vesuvio, etc. Everything was like new, nothing was broken. Conversation with both was pleasant and well-informed, engaging. Elio was formerly in the airlines industry and extremely well-travelled, multi-lingual. The place was new, quiet and spotless. Breakfast was simple but tasteful. Crustado and sweet cakes and tarts baked by multi-lingual hostess Claudia (an English professor) were delicious. Freshly ground coffee refills kept coming. A large, sparkling, and super-clean pool was adjacent. My sons (national-level competitors) appreciated the size and cleanliness. The room was spacious, the bathroom (incl. towel heating rack!) as well. A desk would have helped, but this was a quad room, so we were grateful for the large closet and floor space for our suitcases. There were many windows and excellent a/c.
