The hotel is located 1/4 mile from the Santa Novella train station. Reception staff was great. Breakfast was great. It is a 1/2 mile walk to the shopping district. I liked being a little away from Piazza della Signoria. Be sure to visit the Il Mercato Centrale Centrale Firenze for good local food with a lot of options. They also have some non Italian food such as sushi. We went walking in Parco delle Cascine to leave there crowds- on Tuesdays there is a huge flea marked that cells new and used products that we stumbled upon.
