Casa al Giogo

My boyfriend and I spent a week at Casa al Giogo and had a wonderful time. The rooms/dormitory are clean and comfortable, and the showers were the most powerful and hot we have had in Italy. There is a lounge with wifi connection, table football and outside - a volleyball court. You are just moments away from walks in the woods and hills of the countryside, as well as some very pretty small towns -where you can try traditional Italian tortellini (I suggest you do). I particularly recommend the breakfast at the Casa, which involved homemade yoghurts, jams and cake, as well as proper Italian coffee and toast. We were there for my birthday, and the people running the hostel were incredibly friendly and even helped me celebrate with tiramisu! It's also not far from Florence, just catch a 20minute regional train to S Piero de Sieve, and a local bus will take you into the hills near the Casa after that. If you're a backpacker who has been from city to city for a while and looking for some relaxation in the countryside, I suggest you come here...
