Hotel La Bussola

Hotel la bussola is a pleasant hotel in a quiet suburb of finale ligure, with a good size basic room, having a large bed, wardrobe with a safe, good bathroom, small tv, and remote aircon. the room was cleaned daily with fresh towels daily too. Breakfast was a simple continental, with meats and cheese, breads, pastries, cereal, juice and good coffee, it was missing a choice of fruit in my opinion though. the hotel is a 15 minute stroll from the train station, and 2 minutes from a bus stop so getting around is an easy affair with Italian public transport being excellent. The hotel is 50 meters from the sea, none of the rooms have a sea view, but it's no problem as a stroll towards town down the promenade gives you stunning views along the Ligurian coastline. In the surrounding block there is a wealth of good resturants, a supermarket, bars and deli's, everything is on your doorstep at this hotel. The whole town felt really safe, feeling much safer at night than the amalfi coast. The main lady on reception speaks very good English and is very helpful in showing places to go and the best ways to get around, and all of the staff were very friendly. I would recommend this hotel for people who are interested more in the area that they are visiting than for a luxury hotel break, this is reflected in the very reasonable price. I highly recommend finale and it's neighbouring towns for a fantastic holiday!
