What a wonderful stay! Highly recommend. 

This is a beautiful place run by a lovely family. They take care of everything and put a lot of love into caring for their guests and their property. 

The apartment/studio has everything you need! Well decorated, and extremely clean. 

Would definitely come back again! 



In the past when we have stayed at Donna Giulia B&B we have had a room in town, that opens up onto a 3d floor roof top.
This time, we stayed at their country home which contains 3 separate apartments and is called "Tenuta Donna Giulia"    The apartments have a separate bedroom and kitchen/dining area.
The kitchen is fully equipped.   Having a car is helpful but the town is only a little over 1 km away so it is possible to walk.
The apartments are surrounded by olive and fruit trees as well as lots of flowers.   There are two hammocks and a barbeque for your use.
The best part of visiting Donna Giulia is the host.  Ada Moscara was the original president of the Girandolappuglia group of B&B's headed by women.
When you stay at one of these lodgings (and we have tried out 5) you get more than a room.  Lots of extras are usually included.   We got snacks twice a day from Ada.  Her husband Salvatore, made cheese filled zuchinni flowers for us one day.
If you need anything all you have to is ask and Ada or Salvatore will be there to help.
From the village of Cursi you are a very short drive to Lecce and about 20 minutes from popular beaches on the Adriatic such as Alimini and Torre dell'Orso.
We would highly recommend Tunuta Donna Giulia in Cursi.

We stayed 7 days in Tenuta Donna Giulia end of June 2014., as starting point to explore Salento. The place was recommended by our friends who found it perfect in any way, therefore we didn't search more and can say we didn't regret - it was perfect for us too!!! The owners  (Ada and  Salvatore and their kids) are absolutely amazing people, friendly, simple and you really feel like at home. The small appartment we took, it was clean, spacious, with equiped kitchen, clean sheets and towels, tv, wi-fi inside. It is placed in the middle of a nice green garden with lots of olive trees, relaxing and peaceful. Otranto and Alimini beaches are not far away, cca 15 min by car.  We will come back for sure next year, not only because of beautiful place, nature and tasty food in Salento, but most of all, because of people like Ada and Salvatore, our new friends! :-) 

We stayed 3 nights with the wonderful hostess, Ada, and her family in August. We had a lovely time at her B&B. We went to Salento for a music festival and unfortunately didn't really see much of the surrounding area as we were a bit tired!  But we will definitely return. Communication with Ada beforehand was very good and it was easy to find the place with SatNav.  The room, which lead onto a huge roof terrace, was smart, clean, spacious and even had a fridge!  She left some fresh fruit grown on their land for us, which was a lovely touch.  Breakfast was plentiful and varied- on our first morning she offered to cook us an English fried breakfast which she'd learnt from some previous guests!  Each morning there was some new food to try.  Lots of homemade jams/marmalades and cakes - delicious!  Ada is very kind and helpful and luckily I speak Italian so could appreciate her even more!  She recommended a fabulous new restaurant in Cursi for dinner.  On our last day we went to have a look around her holiday homes and were most impressed.  They are in the countryside - 5 mins away from their family home and B&B.  We would recommend any of Ada's holiday properties.

We have stayed at many B&b's in Puglia and they have all been great.  B&B DonnaGiulia was one of the best.  On arrival early in the afternoon we were served a complete meal, with wine (no charge)  Our hostess, Ada,  later took me to their "farm" a few minutes out of town so i could pick prickly pear fruit.  For breakfast we were offered eggs!! (pretty rare in Italy.)  Ada's husband Franco and parents accepted us as family members.  We will definitely return!

This is a refreshing oasis in Salento.   The small town of Cursi (a few thousand?) is only about 25 minutes from the Adriatic Beaches and less than that from the city of Lecce.
We can't say enough about our hostess, her  husband and parents.  They really do make you feel like part of the family.
The small town is fairly central in the Salento region and it can easily be used as a base to explore north, south, east and west.   We have been to this region twice before and will be returning in April 2012.   B&B Donna Giulia will again be our base for exploration.
