Colle Moro - B&B Villa Maria

An orchard in Hebrew is a "pardes" as the Garden of Eden is described in the Bible. Colle Moro is such a "pardes/paradise".The private gardens have olive trees surrounding a small forest of pine and oak.There are citrus trees and cacti too. For breakfast I was served freshly squeezed orange juice and was given mandarinas from the local orchard. At the breakfast table, layed out, is a variety of cheeses, confiture, nuts and cakes; all delicious. The rooms are large with ensuite bathrooms and always clean. Sheets/bedding changed a number of times during my stay. But also the personal help that Andrea gave me, such as dealing with the internet or booking flights, was of paramount importance to me. His aid did not start nor end with these things. Apart from the beauty of the place with views towards the snowy peaked Maiella and Grand Sasso mountains, is the centrality of it. Highways easily accessible leading towards Rome,airport or the town of Pescara. I could easily set out into the local countryside. Within a five minute drive there is a huge shopping center. Truly a gem. Moshe.
