66 reviewsI had a wonderful experience staying at Stella di Mare with my Mom as we explored the beauty of Italian Riviera. The hotel offers excellent value considering its rather modest cost. It is located within a short walking distance from the train station, the town center and the beach. It is a very convenient location if you are aiming to visit Cinque Terre, Portofino or Genova. There are also excellent short hikes that you can take around the town itself. Our room was simple but exceptionally clean. The furniture and the appliances are not "brand spanking new", but everything worked properly, which is what mattered to us. For those who may be concerned about the lack of A/C, have no fear! We visited in the end of August, when the temperature was still pretty warm and the room stayed cool overnight with the fan on. The breeze from the sea helps as well. The owners of the hotel went above and beyond to accommodate our requests, and provide us with travel tips and recommendations. Michela, the owner, speaks a gazillion languages, perfect English including, so there is no need to be concerned about the language barrier. Me and my Mom are very grateful to her and her husband for making our stay in Liguria so comfortable.
