WE spent four nights in this very beautiful place with a view of the sunset over the sea. The apartment was very simple but with everything that was needed. I dream of returning to Amandolo one day, I hope I will. A unique experience!

We enjoyed our wedding anniversary this year at this very beautiful, quiet place with great view. Amandolo with his crew pampered us with his wonderful and delicious dishes for the whole evening. It was marvelous as every time!! We can only recommend this location to everyone seeking for a romantic evening or awesome gorgeous organic seafood!!!

Although the accommodation is somewhat 'spartan', the lodgings are very comfortable and, above all, the location is MAGIC.
Plus the restaurant, which has a set menu every evening based on fish, is supreme.
A must for anyone wanting amazing views, good food and wine, and perfect peace and quiet.

Magic place - we were heartily welcomed by Alessandro and fell in love with this place instantly - it exceeded our expectations by far.  
Made for everybody looking for a simple, calm place away from all the noise that doesn’t reach the Amandolo. 

My daughter and I went for lunch at the companion ristorante to this property.  We only had 3.5 hours to have lunch and a tour of the Agriturismo in preparation for our upcoming stay in June 2019.   The owner and his wife had prepared a lovely lunch for us and we were given a tour of the apartments.  My wife and I WILL be retuning in June for sure. I will review in much more depth after our stay. 



The location of the agriturismo is literally in the bush with an amazing view of the see. It is very peaceful. The food was amazing, the service very good, the owners so friendly.  location stunning!!!

We had several times a wonderful evening and a delicious meal based on organic local food! An always recommendable trip also with pet and children! The last time we had a colorful view on to the sea with many ships passing.

If you are looking for a fairytale place where you can taste a glass of local wine watching a breathless sunset and then enjoy a delicious dinner of vegetables produced by the owner (Alessandro) and fresh catch of the day, the Agriturismo Amandolo is a must! Make sure to invite Alessandro at your table to ask him anything about Elba: you will love his passion for the island and its fruits... and don't forget to ask him to introduce you his donkey and... the two boars!!!

This agriturismo is on the simple side - it has four suites nicely furnished but with nothing extra to requirements (and fortunately no fake frescoes or plastic, as are all too common in Tuscany). Ours had a good bed, high ceilings and whitewashed walls, two rooms, a kitchen and a nice little bathroom. No A/C, but a fan which was more than adequate since everything cools off at night. It was very natural and restful, with a fig tree outside from which we picked figs every morning. The view is the best on the island - nothing but forest leading out to the sea, and a gorgeous sunset - and the area is far enough from any village to be completely silent, with unbelievable stars at night. The benefit of staying in the area, which is the least touristy corner of Elba, is that it is being reinvented as an ecotourism zone, and there are many walking trails and incredible views all around.
The host, Alessandro, is lovely, and was very helpful. You need to bring an Italian phrasebook if you're non-Italian speaking, but we got by OK despite not really having much Italian. He runs a small 'slow food' restaurant elsewhere on the property, where we had a phenomenal dinner using local ingredients, with local wine. A friendly wild boar visits the restaurant for a bread roll each night.
Stay here if you want a romantic, quiet getaway, as simple as possible but still functional and really beautiful. Don't come if you are looking for all-inclusive, luxurious, resort-type accommodation. It's good for people with kids - our suite could have accommodated three kids as well as us, on the futon and camp bed provided in the other room. Other important info is that it's self-catering - there's no breakfast provided, but you have a kitchen.
You need a car, or at least a bike, if you plan to stay here - it's really away from it all, though only about a kilometre from the small town of Cavo, where there's a ferry port and enough shops that you don't need to go farther afield if you don't want to. You can get to the sea by walking down the hill a hundred metres or so from your front door, but the nicest nearby beach is a short drive away at Nisporto. Cavo's four beaches are also very nice, and snorkelling there can be arranged through Alessandro.
Can't recommend it highly enough.
