Terme Miramonte e Mare

We spent a week there mid-August 2016. We were in the second building, on the top floor. The rooms were very clean, and though slightly on the small side, were the perfect size for a couple. The air conditioner was good, and the room had a mini fridge which we filled with our own things. The safe didn't work while we were there (it seemed to have been previous user error, followed by the hotel unable to fix), and the lights seemed to have a faulty connection. We found the food, on the whole, to be good. The service was mixed- some waiters were professional and charismatic, whereas a couple lacked training. The kitchen was very accommodating of dietary needs. The hotel had a small health spa element, including an outdoor jacuzzi, thermal water and a sauna, which are free to use. This was a nice experience to have built into the hotel, and we enjoyed it a lot. The hotel offered several trips and experiences, such as discounted prices and travel to nearby hot springs, which we managed to make some use of. However, the trip which the hotel staff seemed to esteem the most, a ferry around the island followed by some swimming, was cancelled by weather and staff absence. The hotel managed the situation quite poorly, with a lot of time wasted due to poor communication. Overall, we enjoyed our time there. Highlights included our primary waiter (whose name escapes us) who worked hard to ensure our satisfaction, and Nello, who was in charge of the hotels free shuttle service. A note to English speakers- the hotel is orientated primarily to Italian customers, and there are only a few English speaking members of staff.
