Hotel Club Saraceno

We spent one week at the club hotel Saraceno and can recommend it. In greater detail: Pros: 1. The animation personal was better than we had ever seen before and constitute the main reason for our positive review. We have been on club holidays often and never experienced an animation team which spent so much love and energy engaging with the kids. We never had our kids so happy in a club hotel. Special thanks go out to Francesco, Lina, and Maria. 2. The water sports activities are made very well. It is possible to experience sailing and windsurfing for beginners and experienced, also for kids. 3. The grounds and gardens of the hotel are architecturally very nice. The planning of the grounds has been made very well, so that is is also nice to walk along the hotel pathways, for instance at night. Also, the view on the Sardinian mountains is exceptional. 4. The food is very good, but not exceptional. But this only comes, because Sardinian food standards are very high, it is possible to have a very good dinner everywhere on the island and in comparison, the hotel food was, as said, very good but not exceptional. Also, I would have wished for even more local food (to not be misunderstood: there was plenty local food, but I love the Sardinian kitchen and could have had even more of the local experience. Con’s: 1. Pur room was very small for four people. We have never had such a small room in a hotel of that (higher) standard. 2. No insect screens on the room door/window - you really need insect screens on Sardegna and we were surprised not to find them. 3. There was a light automatically switched on the entire night on our balcony, which I cannot understand. But the hotel staff was kind enough to turn it off for us.
