The lodgings here are simple but nice and clean and very spacious for Europe. But the owner and his family are what really make this place. They are so charming I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else if I'm ever in the area again. There was a language barrier between us but working through that only made it more charming and we never left without understanding each other. The gentleman who served us breakfast gave us extra to take on the road on the day of our departure free, and without us even asking. They were just so generous and helpful. And too top it all off, Assisi is beautiful. I would give this hotel a 10 rating if Trip Advisor had that option.
