258 reviewsWe spent a wonderful week skiing over New Year, based at the Maison Tissiere. From the moment we arrived to a very warm welcome, we had such a lovely experience. We are a family of 4 and were in one of the family rooms which was more like a mini apartment, with separate sleeping areas and a lovely terrace with views. We were staying half board so were able to enjoy a generous breakfast and 4 course dinner every day, and the vegetarian in the group was well looked after. The spa is a fabulous extra, and for a small extra fee you have access for the full week. The hotel is well located for skiing - the lifts at Valtournenche and Cervinia are within around a 30 min very scenic drive. We would also like to give a special mention to Guja and her staff for the way they looked after us when our daughter unfortunately slipped and broke her front teeth. Even though this happened at a time of year when many people were on holiday, Guja took us straight to the village doctor and then arranged us an appointment with a dentist recommended by a friend of hers the following day. This was a stressful time, particularly of course for our daughter, and the care and consideration of the team at the hotel was an enormous help, allowing us to continue enjoying our holiday. A final point - if you have the chance to stay at the Maison Tissiere over New Year - do! The team made a huge effort and threw a great party for all the guests - complete with a wonderful banquet, DJ, fireworks, not to mention the glitter scattered all over the floor which apparently takes till March to remove fully! Thank you very much Maison Tissiere - we hope to return one day!
