Tricky to find - signs warning you are entering into a controlled car zone, along narrow and cobbled streets. We carefully drove right through a crowd spilling out from the Church following a wedding. The hotel is a converted monastery I believe. Whilst the rooms are basic, they are clean and the bar is in the cloisters. It is just round the corner from the hot springs that fountain into the town piazza. One of my three top favourites on a 20 day tour.

Before going to bed, you can walk around the main landmarks of the city. You can take a walk and explore the neighbourhood area of the hotel. Places nearby: Piazza Acquaverde, Castello d'Albertis and Galata Maritime Museum.
