Travelling down through Italy the satnav found this hotel in Corfinio and as we were tired booked in. Its on a road behind the main road and a little difficult to find but very glad we did. Not the most palatial or most modern of hotels but a warm welcome and excellent food at a very reasonable price. The waitress was superb augmenting her English with Spanish, French and her native Italian. Its a real find, off the beaten track, but close to Popoli and very relaxing. A superb village too holding a local "fiesta".Of all the hotels we stayed in on this trip its one we would return to to explore the area of Abruzzo. A great find and quieter than the nearby town 5km away
