Lovely in every way. Stunning views.  Activities staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and spacious.  
The only bummer was the slow service and average food in the pub.  The main dining room was superb for both food and service.  Also, it can be a long walk to your room.  Only and issue if there is mobility issues.

There’s no amount of gushing that would do our stay justice. We booked Lettery Lodge with a small group of friends/family, and it was beyond perfect. We had plenty of space to spread out and the kitchen was well-equipped. It was perfect for walking over to the castle hotel for a drink or snack, cooking meals, and enjoying the magnificent grounds. The flyfishers in our group couldn’t have been happier and we loved our guided hike. Hopping on bikes to roam the greenways was a fabulous way to enjoy the countryside and we felt beautifully positioned for some easy day trips. The staff were incredibly friendly and happy to work with us to meet our needs. We plan to go back again!!

This hotel was amazing on all levels. The incredibly well-trained and pleasant staff were always ready to go one step farther if need be. No request was too great. The rooms are impeccably redesigned with bathrooms that are modern day, state of the art. 
Both restaurants served food that was delicious and prepared to exact preferences .  Again, the restaurant team was outwardly pleasant and accommodating. 
The estate walking tour is a must and Oeghan was above par in his knowledge and demeanor. 
We would highly recommend this castle to friends and look forward to a return visit.

We splurged and stayed at Ballynahinch Castle Hotel during our stay in Ireland in September 2023.  It was worth the money.  We stayed in a river view room and it was quite roomy and cozy at the same time.  The bathroom was spacious, plenty of storage space, the view was lovely, the decor just right to make one feel they are staying in a unique environment.    It is a converted house(manor) done up beautifully.  The breakfasts were excellent - buffet or cooked to order. The grounds are beautiful and well worth walking around, especially the flower garden in the evening.  The hotel is almost an hour outside Galway but if you are okay with driving a half hour plus to  Kylemore Abbey, Connemara Park, ferry dock to Inshmore Island, while wanting to stay in a place you never would really need to leave, this is the place for you.

This hotel is really magical. Amazing food, amazing art, beautiful rooms, log fires, traditional bar with live music, woodland walks and top notch service from the staff. 
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the staff looked after us really well, they are so attentive and knowledgeable. We are in the restaurant for dinner each night and the food and service was 5 star. There is a wonderful art collection here including pieces by Jack Yeats and Louis de Brocquy - and a book listing all of it that you can ask for and look through. There is also a wonderful book on the world’s greatest paintings. Sitting by a log fire with the rain pelting outside, a glass of wine and this book - what more could you ask for. The bar isn’t a typical hotel bar, it could be any good country bar mixed with tourists and locals. There are many walks you can take on the grounds that are signposted and a map will tell you how long each one takes and what you can see. The staff take pride in their roles and many have been there for years, but all of them were exceptional. I can’t wait to come back. 

This may be one of my favorite hotels of all time. Gorgeous buildings, gorgeous grounds, good food, and impeccable service. Our room was simply lovely, with a wonderful view of the river. We so enjoyed sitting by the fire with a nice drink and soaking it all in. We had a terrific dinner in the Owenmore Restaurant. I was highly amused by the cloakroom w/ the Wellies and rainslickers available to borrow if you need them.

What a fantastic, beautiful, tranquil hotel. We loved everything about it. We were blessed by beautiful icy, crisp clear winter days and absolutely loved walking and cycling around the estate and coming back to warm fires and hot chocolates or a hot whiskey afterwards. The food, the staff, the hotel, location, everything is fantastic. Possibly my favourite hotel stay ever and we'll definitely be back. Mike was a great help, as was the girl on reception and the manager I think, an Englishman. All very friendly and willing to help with any query, also to explain the history of the castle itself. 

On our recent visit to Ballynahinch Castle, we were delighted on check in to be upgraded to a Riverside suite, a truly beautiful room, with a 4 poster bed that was extremely comfortable. 
Dinner and lunch in the lovely Owenmore Restaurant and Fisherman's Bar were very tasty, and we truly were impressed with the fabulous breakfast.  
The staff and service were A1, professional and friendly.
 Fires lighting in all the sitting rooms, and in the bar and reception area gave a warm and welcoming atmosphere. 
Beautiful location in a magnificent setting, quiet and peaceful. The many walks on the grounds are magical. It is a very special place. Hope to revisit in the near future.

Ballynahinch is a trip back in time to a place where nature amazes! Incredibly relaxing atmosphere and exceptional good food.

We had a suite had a beautiful view of the Owenmoore River
from both rooms. The employees were very friendly and helpful.

If you need a place to get away from it all, and maybe do some fly fishing, you won’t be disappointed!

A piece of heaven in Ireland

I've stayed here multiple times with my wife and it is by far our favourite place to stay.

We usually stay in October/November time as it is a little cheaper. Everything from the beautiful room, to the food, the staff, the gardens, the views and the walkways just create an ambience of relaxation and joy. 

This is 5 star luxury for a 4 star price. Trust me, if you want to treat your other half to a wonderful weekend then this is the place for you. Im sure it wont be long before they seek a fifth star.
