We stayed 4 nights at Sunset Hotel. Our room had a fabulous view, was clean and appointed well for the class of hotel. The star attraction of the hotel is the rooftop dining, bar and pool. An amazing place to watch sunset with a cold beer. Food was basic but very tasty and well prepared. The price point for the restaurant is excellent value. The Nasi Goreng for breakfast is the best we've had so far in Indo! The Flores coffee is great and a wonderful way to kick start your day. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Front office has reasonable English and can help you with most things. It’s a bit of a walk to the Labuan shopping strip, fortunately the reception can provide a ride into the Centre for approx. 50k IDR. They will also pick up and drop off to the airport, very useful and will do pickups in town too, just use what’s app to connect with them. The hotel is a bit “tired” but everything works and for the price it is an excellent place to stay. And yes, it lives up to its name. The sunsets are incredible. We would happily stay there again. Hot tip - Resto Sesto Senso is just 100m up the hill - fabulous Italian fusion food. A secret treat.
