Bali Dynasty Resort

Wow - SUCH a great resort. Hotel pick-up and was lucky enough to be upgraded to a beautiful suite which after a long day of travelling from Tassie with a 4yr was so welcoming and unexpected. The suite was wonderful with 2 bathrooms and a pull down bed in the main area and 2 TVs (main room and bedroom) with Youtube which was unexpected and great! To make it even better I would have loved the room to have more of a Balinese feel, as it felt a little western in the decor and furnishings. The staff are incredible, all friendly and kind with many a high five and knuckles for our little one. The pool area is phenomenal with enough lounge chairs to go round. They have a towel hut where you can check out towels for free, so long as you return them by 10pm. There seemed to be games for kids and adults daily and two happy hours at the Sunset pool bar. There was afternoon service to your deck chair from 12pm onwards for food and drinks and lovely ladies offering foot and leg massages without being pushy at all. Our room was directly next to the pool area and there was some noise until around 9 or 10pm, however we never had trouble sleeping and son was fine also and he went to sleep earlier. In the morning there was no real chatter or noise until well after 9am and we were always up before that time anyway ready to eat and start the day. The main buffet restaurant had great offerings and breakfast was included in the nightly price. The Italian restaurant was more pricey and the meal took a long time, it was ok, but didnt quite hit the mark. The kids club was such a wonderful addition and while our son Benji didnt like to be left there, we were able to play with him in there for short periods and when he was brave enough to be there on his own we sat outside and sunbaked just outside so he could see us and tap on the window when he was ready to leave. The staff all seemed super friendly and easy going. He made a great connection with Ary one of the guys in the club who was super lovely and we saw them all at the beach doing a shell collection one night and they were kicking the soccer ball and they recognized Benji and let him join in and play, which he just loved. The kids splash park is amazing with its own waterslide - so good!! There are ladies braiding hair which most of the young girls took advantage of - I would like to suggest their 'options' board of what styles they do, be reprinted, as its so faded and tinted green and you cant really make out whats what. Theres a hotel photographer also who does styled photos and collage books, from what I saw they looked great and would be a lovely keepsake! We didnt do this though as its not really our thing. The hotel is a very short distance from the airport and short walk to some great restaurants as you turn left outside the main gates. We would def come back as it really is the ultimate in relaxtion, where you can just rest, drink and eat and be super close to the comfort of your room.
