Had a lovely 3 night stay. Great shower and comfortable bed in a nice cosy room.We were asked to contact the owner if we had any issues but we didn't have any. Good location to walk either way to Bowness or Windermere for shops and eateries.

Hilton house is located in a fantastic place, right between Windermere & Bowness. The room was lovely and clean, bed was amazingly comfortable and the owner very friendly when checking in and through out our stay. Bathroom has everything you need and shower pressure was amazing. We had our own doors that lead out to a little terrace so coming back too late wasn’t an issue for us. Definitely 5 star place, nice and quiet and just what you need for a break away in the lakes!

We’re just back from a beautiful mini break in Windermere. We booked the king suite at Hilton House and it did not disappoint. Martin was brilliant from arrival and was really attentive checking in to ensure we were having a lovely time. The room was beautifully clean, and well kept. We were in perfect walking distance between Windermere (less than 10 mins) and Bowness-On-Windermere (15 mins). Would highly recommend! 

Had a wonderful time at Hilton House. Beautifully placed between Windermere and Bowness. Room neat and tidy comfortable bed pleasant owner. Plenty of parking space. Would come again and recommend too others

Stopped for a long weekend of 3 nights and found the hotel to be excellent.
We had room 8 which is on the ground floor and with a 4 poster bed. Room was excellent with plenty of room including a separate dressing room/table area.
Bed was excellent and a good nights sleep.
This room had french doors out onto a small patio that also gave access to the car park and to the side of the house onto the street, so you had your own entrance if you didn’t want to use the main door.
Bathroom good with good sized walk in shower and plenty of towels.
Take and coffee making in the room along with a tele.’

Location is very good with a 10 min walk to either Windermere or Bowness centres.

Hotel was very peaceful and we wernt bothered by anyone during our stay.

No bar and no breakfast as far as we could see, but plenty of options in town.

We stopped here for 2 nights for my husbands birthday, the house is lovely and Martin is doing a great job of renovations, we had room 6 which was advertised as a "small double" it was lovely, cosy and warm, with a four poster bed we had not expected!. It was just what we wanted a quiet room, comfortable bed, great tea and coffee with a warm and friendly host in Martin. 
Will book again as location is great and exceptional value for money !.

I was a little concerned after reading the reviews but we found the hotel to be fine. The size of the room was fine, bed comfortable, nice deco, lovely quiet room. The water pressure in the shower was not very powerful but not an issue really. The bathroom door did not shut but again not really an issue. Great location, would stay again.

A lovely a very clean room, a warm nice welcome, plenty of coffee, tea etc...really comfortable bed, soft towels and a very nice fair trade shampoo (but only one tiny soap for the two of us for the whole stay...yes I'm sure we could have asked for more). Room is quiet small though, the bulb above the shower stopped working the very next day we arrived and the curtains let all the light through (not much if you like a lay in). If you coming back late, get your torch as no light outside. We truly enjoyed our stay, the surrounding and location are just perfect.

Stayed here from Friday returning home today. The B N B is a lovely home. Rooms were very clean, bedroom was very nice indeed! Can’t fault the room. It is situated right in centre between Bowness-on-Windermere and Windermere itself. We did not see owner other than to give us our keys at the beginning of stay. He was friendly enough. Breakfast was not being served which was unfortunate but not end of world as there is so much around. Bed was comfortable just loud! Fine if you lie still. Couldn’t use kettle at tasted weird but I have messaged owner so they are aware as that’s simple to fix. Overall a much needed break and was not disappointed. Just not used to not seeing the owners over breakfast. But like I said we were up and off each day. I would return, it did have a musty smell in corridors stair area but I think that was just due to it being an older building. 

Really lovely Hotel but could be Amazing with more attention to detail... on aproaching hotel the gardens were very unkempt and patio tubs at side of door left tipped over  & tubs with dead shrubs .. We stayed in room 8 which is a nice big room with a private entrance and patio doors onto a small courtyard , large bathroom with double walk in shower and a small separate dressing table area .. on initial looks it's quite grand & palatial with several chandeliers .. unfortunately the cleanliness was lacking .. dust around the room , chipped woodwork on the bed , stains on carpets and very dirty windows & under toilet seat and a few small holes in the duvet cover .. All very easily rectified to which would result in a outstanding place . Also there's a breakfast room set up but no breakfast is available which is a shame .
