We stayed at the Snowdon with Sally and Mike recently and I don.t normally do reviews but this is an exceptional place to stay.  Wonderful breakfasts and our room was spotless.  We would certainly stay here again when we visit Shanklin and have no hesitation in recommending it to other people.  Thank you for looking after us so well and hope to see you soon!

Well everything about this hotel is faultless. A warm welcome from Sally who made us feel at home straight away. We were delighted with our room, freshly decorated in calm colours, a comfy bed and a beautiful refurbished bathroom. All this and the place is spotlessly clean. Tea, coffee, biscuits and other little extras that we didn’t expect makes Snowdon House special. A wonderful choice for breakfast that would suit all requirements and beautifully cooked. The hotel itself is in a perfect location for all the amenities such as the old village, the beach, bus stops and the train station. We would not hesitate to book again after a fantastic relaxing week. We will be recommending Snowdon House to our friends. Thank you to Sally and Mike for making our time on the Isle of Wight special.

So nice to be back here for our 21st stay........as always the warmest welcome, the most beautiful, clean room with a new fitted bathroom!   Breakfasts for 4 days ahead were already ordered on my part as always have the "muffins" as the poached eggs are always peprfect, Mr H had full english, american, omelette and "muffin" we both had fruit juice/tea/coffee/toast with fresh fruit salad too so plenty to set us up for adventures taken during the day.   Excellent value!!!  Please see my previous reviews for more info and pics of the room (11) ground floor and some of the lovely breakfasts we had.  If you like to see a sunrise it is so worth getting up and taking a 5 min stroll to the cliff top or even go down down the the beach (picture attached taken at 0515 14.5.25)  We will be back, go you will really enjoy it!!!

Wonderful hotel..hospitality amazing..a great location near to the beach and the old town..our room was lovely and so was the dining room and residents lounge..sally and Mike were very friendly and helpful..you would be mad not to check this hotel out..definitely going back there

Here we are again for our 20th stay ...... need I say more!!  Lovely room, fab breakfasts, fantastic hosts and the glorious weather!!  See my previous reviews on here for full details of what you can expect.....you will not be disappointed if you book a stay here!!     Always a pleasure and looking forward to returning again next year (if not before).  Very highly recommend and such great value for money, nicely situated just a 5 min walk from town or beach. We had a large , comfortable en-suite room on the ground floor. There was a good choice of food for breakfast, always beautifully cooked and presented. Sally was a friendly, helpful host and we will definitely stay at Snowden house if we return to the island.

This is a delightful guest house in the heart of Shanklin. 

It is located in a prime position, close to both the cliff top for access to the beach, while also being a very short walk to the town centre. It is superbly run by the charming proprietor, Sally.

The breakfasts were cooked to order and very enjoyable. The highlight however has to be the bedrooms. I was fortunately to be in room no.4 and it was quite stunning, presumably refurbished fairly recently.

All in all an excellent guest house that we will be sure to return to.

We have just had our 20 something stay at Snowdon House, we simply love coming here.   Our room was immaculate, the breakfasts were simply fantastic.....we were spoilt for choice as always!!  See my previous reviews for more info!!  Really lovely to feel at home from the second we arrived, never disappointed only when its time to pack up and say goodbye!! Until next time Thank You Snowdon House!! x  Also a special mention of thanks that about 2 hours after we had "left" I got a call on my mobile as the owners knew we were still on the Island to say I had left something behind so I was able to go back and collect  it which saved the bother of getting it back to the mainland via post etc really appreciated that :) 10/10 visit

Had a wonderful stay at this delightful guest house, stayed in the double with twin room which is on the ground floor. Huge comfortable room with plenty of storage space. Everywhere was immaculately clean. We arrived early and our room was ready for us no problem. Excellent breakfasts and lovely hosts. Would definitely recommend.

Delightful stay cation 

Our 21sst stay.......each visit is always such a treat!  We soon settled in and felt immediately "at home".   The outside has been repainted as has the dinning room, very bright and cheery!!  As usual our room was immaculate, comfortable and well equiped with tea, coffee, water along with soaps, shower gel, body lotion and shampoo in the shower room.  Breakfast was excellent with cereals, homemade fruit salad, grapefruit, juices, tea/coffee and a good selection of various good cooked from traditional Full English, American Style, Halloumi, Smoke Salmon with Scrambled Eggs...plus many others then follows toast with jam/marmalade/marmite if you have room for it!!  I had my favourite Egg and Bacon Toasted Muffin 2 days, Full English and the Salmon (I forgot to take a picture sorry).  The whole stay was relaxed and we have already booked for our next visit.  There are lots of useful leaflets for you to take with info on lots of things to see/do around the island and if you need any guidance on how to get somewhere just ask the hotel owners and they can/will give you the info needed.   10.10 Snowdon House thank you for having us!!!

Lovely visit to Snowdon House

This is possibly the best B&B that I have ever stayed in. My room was excellent - a good size, modern and well-equipped bathroom, comfortable bed, TV, wifi and tea making facilities. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and happy to help with local advice. And the breakfasts are really excellent - a wide range of cooked dishes, all freshly-made. It is also very well located, within walking distance of both the beach (down lots of steps or the lift) and the town's high street, pubs and shops. I am already looking for an opportunity to go back.

The sort of B&B you want to return to

We have just had our 18th stay at Snowdon House!!  Our room was immaculate, cosy and fully equipped with all we needed, very cosy bed, the breakfasts were as always amazing (nobody does poached eggs as well as Snowdon House).  We had a variety of breakfasts between us over our 5 day break, every visit we try to have something different but I always tend to stick to my favourite, the bacon and egg muffin, as its such a treat!  I am an early bird so was up and out down the nearby beach every morning at 0545 to watch the amazing sunrises, then back for a nice shower etc so was ready breakfast by 0830.  We are already booked for our next visit.   Everything about this stay was just perfect, amazing service, great room, clean, friendly, brilliant breakfast to set you up for the day, thank you "Team Snowdon"
