Staff so friendly, surprising good food & good value

Genuine old Pub/restuarant , able to select 2 items from starter menu  plus salad and baked potatoe . All very good .Same for breakfast  had a small portion and did not eat to much.  Good flexibility.

Lovely quaint well run pub the food was very good the rooms were clean comfortable and of a good size. The staff were excellent. Very friendly, welcoming and efficient. Would definitely stay again.

Nice friendly hotel staff couldn't do enough for you

Lovely afternoon today. Local farmers had brought tractors to the pub as a special event,  kids loved it!  Delicious cakes were available to, with all proceeds going to macmillan. Also a great menu and food was fab, the staff were very friendly and helpful too. Will definitely go back.

We called ahead to ask if we could check in early so we could change to go to a wedding. They weren’t able to get the room ready but did let us in before it had been cleaned so that we could change.The family room had 2 bedrooms and suited our needs really well, and would suit most families.The room decor was a little tired but clean and all in good working order.  The car park was quite muddy in February so a bit tricky for cases etc.Breakfast was good quality with plenty of variety and the staff were accommodating and friendly.

Ideal family room

An extremely comfortable bed and a lovely warm, very clean room and thick curtains made for a great overnight stay.  All the staff were very friendly, helpful and kind.  As I am disabled and had to use a wheelchair and because accessibility is difficult due to the age of the building, the very helpful girl on reception told us to ask for assistance when it came to dinner.  They took me around the outside of the property to make sure I could get into the dining room easily.  The vegetarian breakfast was brilliant - especially the inclusion of roasted peppers and wilted spinach instead of bacon!  The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that there was no disabled toilet in the Inn, only in my bedroom.

Great overnight stay

Perfect stay for what i needed. My room was cosy and full of character. The bed had crisp, clean white sheets and was super comfy. Wonderful shower, although the on and off part of the shower was stiff. I did notice some cobwebs, however the room was clean and well presented. The staff where friendly and I’ll definitely be staying again. In fact im already booked in. Thank you for a wonderful stay

Excellent place to stay - cosy and friendly

Excellent hotel for those who are seeking an experience into the English countryside. There is plenty of parking space, free of charge. Rooms are clean and cozy. Very friendly staff. Very good breakfast with the option to try traditional dishes. There is the option to book dinner as well. Highly recommended!

Excellent stay in the English countryside

Stayed over for a one night stay as we were attending a concert in the area. Staff were very helpful on arrival and throughout the stay. Room was clean and bed was so comfortable. Hairdryer was bit of a faff as the lead didn’t reach the mirror but not a major problem. Food was good in the afternoon and breakfast was good (avocado needed seasoning) again all acceptable and for £84 a night including breakfast , good value for money.

Comfortable stay

Very nice comfortable old pub. We stayed for 3 nights and found the bed very comfortable, the pillows were a bit firm for me, but okay for hubby. Shower was powerful and water always hot. It was nice to have an iron and board in the room. The food was good especially the sea bass risotto and there is a lot of choice. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

Nice friendly comfortable pub

My brother and I based ourselves in the Hunters Hall on Monday for a night before attending a family funeral in Nailsworth. This is an exceptional old coach house, not just for its warm ambience and history but also for its cleanliness, fabulous food, great real ales, superb comfortable family room and kind, helpful staff. We were struggling to get a taxi into Nailsworth but Ollie went out of his way during his lunch break to ensure we managed to book one. Lovely people,  Thank you.

Hunters Hall

Had an overnight stay here with my daughters, had to swap to a family room which cost little more than a twin room for bed & breakfast, I only rang the day before to change and the staff could't be more accomodating. The rooms were lovely, spacious & clean, with tea & coffee making facilities & large screen tv. We had our evening meal in the pub which was just amazing food & good value for money. All staff were extemely pleasant and helpful & could't do enough for you. Breakfast next day was just as good as the previous nights food with a wide selection to choose from. One of my daughters is Coeliac and the other one is Vegan but there was plenty of variety for both. I would recommend this place to anyone whether staying overnight, going out for a lovely meal or just popping in for a pint. The old building has charm & character, with a warm & cosy feel and is most welcoming to all.

A Fab Find for an overnight stay & Food 🙌

We stayed at Hunters Hall with 3 other couples for the NY break. 
The pub itself is typically Cotswolds  in character but needs a little bit of TLC. However, that didn’t detract from our enjoyment. 
Doug and his team looked after us very well, nothing was too much trouble! 
The food was great and being a party of 8 we tried most of the dishes over the 3 nights we stayed. 
A good selection of wines, spirits and beer was available and the barman was efficient and managed all our many requests for different drinks as the night went on. 
The rooms were warm and comfortable, decor is a little tied but everything was clean and we had everything we needed.  Only thing we found a little difficult was the very poor lighting in the rooms, maybe some higher watt bulbs would help. 
Breakfast was great! Doug kept us topped up with coffee & tea and all the cooked breakfasts we had were beautifully cooked, hot and there was plenty of it. 
We would go back and stay but maybe when the weather is better and we could get out and explore the Cotswold county side.

New Year visit with friends.

Fantastic room.Food.Staff could not fault a single thing. Will definitely be staying overnight again .Had a ciabatta with brie,onion chutney and roasted beetroot .side salad excellent value for the money .I added soup to the lunchtime meal which was lovely. I didn't need to .I was disappointed that I couldn't manage a dessert. My partner had Strawberry shortcake cheesecake with clotted cream ice cream. I was so jealous I ate too much
