Absolutely dreadful. I can't believe such places still exist. It was a hostel not an hotel. Sat on the bed and it's made my skin crawl. It is damp run down and beyond words. I booked a travel lodge down the road. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS PLACE

Absolutely dreadful

I thought it was ok, beds comfy room tidy and clean came to change our bedding. You don’t see anyone you have to call when you arrive to get your key out a box which isn’t a problem. Only thing is I couldn’t find anywhere you have breakfast which again didn’t bother us we just went somewhere else. I would stay again if needed.

Really non existent place. Booked the hotel online . Got there and couldn’t get in for 3 hours because the door was locked and the number they popped out for customers to call was unreachable. I was really pained cos I had to start looking for another hotel to sleep in that night.

Bitterly disappointing. If I’d have read the other reviews wouldn’t have booked. Booked late due to unexpected need to overnight in Liverpool. It’s not a hotel and not a guest house more a hostel. Entry is via a call to a remote mobile. No staff presence at all. Windows don’t close, radiators don’t work and plaster off the wall in bathroom. We’d booked two rooms and both were equally poor. They were clean as were the towels and linen but it’s a down at heel old Victorian property that lacks investment and completely lacks security and hospitality. Give it a swerve!

Beware! It’s a hostel not a hotel

Horrible place, avoid at all costs! We had a run down, badly in need of modernisation room. The shower hadn't  any hot water,  we heard a clanging in the bathroom,  it was the riser rail falling off the wall (no one even in the bathroom at the time). A towel short, not enough loo roll. We had 2 nights booked but only stayed 1 and checked in to Premier Inn instead. My advice.... go somewhere else. Bed frame knackered, bathroom door latch taped up.

I arrived there on the 17 th of Feb 2022 and arrived at the door to fins you need to call a number to get in.The keys mainly fit most doors which means security is lax despite the cameras I didn't feel safe as it was a basic lock.The bathroom had a hole in it and was dirty.The windows didn't shut and so you could hear loud cars all night.It looked a dodgy area.The double bed was broken underneath aswell with basic repairs done to it and to top it off the shower only had like warm water running after 5 minutes.

An utter disgrace.

The whole building was clean and had a nice aroma. The room was clean, had a comfortable bed, an extra chair which was usefull and a kettle plus tea/coffee making essentials.   The wifi did not extend to my room on the top floor. I don't think the hotel should advertise free wifi unless it is available to EVERY guest. The car park was small for a large hotel and I was concerned that I would not find a free space when I needed it, however, I happened to get lucky. The guest in the neighbouring room did not seem to know how to close his fire door quietly, but this is not the fault of the hotel, merely an incredibly inconsiderate person.

On arrival we had to ring a mobile number, given a code to get out key the same code still in there! Came back at 11.30pm to be greeted by a random guy trying to sleep on the corridor who didn’t look like he’d booked a room (looked homeless) right near our room! Drove home the same night. I’ve slummed it in Blackpool many of times but i wasn’t staying for breakfast, the room was nice for the price but security and anyone actually manning the place is ridiculous!

Awful! Booked it to watch a show at the Rugby ground.

I stopped here with a group of friends in a four person room. Having read some of the reviews we were a bit worried about what we would find but we were pleasantly surprised. We wanted cheap accommodation whilst attending a festival and it was definitely preferable to stopping in a tent. Yes the rooms are very basic, cramped and a little tired looking but the beds and bathroom were clean. We arrived quite late and check in was straightforward. All of the staff we came across were very friendly. There was a kettle so we were able to make a late night pot noodles! 

I'm not sure about the other rooms but I wouldn't recommend room 2 if you're a light sleeper. There was a very thin (locked) connecting door to another room and you could hear every word of their conversation; they might as well have been sat in the room with us. It made us laugh though. 

I would recommend this hotel if you're after a cheap place to stay for a few nights.

Stayed there many times got treated good by Staff, now there is a New Owner he is asking 250% more and thats not for the same room as I was given, playing on no other low priced B&B's (if you can get a Breakfast) in the area.
