What can I say except excellent very clean and Dave & Andrea have got time to chat a great couple I will definitely stay there again close to the shops and beach
Very reasonable price and better than most hotels a lot better service than a lot of places I have stayed

First time we’ve met Dave and Andrea they are the perfect hosts extremely friendly and kind the room was absolutely spotless and very comfortable we had the best weekend and will definitely be booking to go back and would go as far to say we won’t book anywhere else now so need to rent to give plenty of notice Yhanks again for an Amazing Stay

Weekend break

Been here b4, as always dave and Andrea are always great hosts,  hence why I keep coming back, they look after me and other guests the same.  Always have time to chat. Even ask what am doing or where am going. Even ask what I am. Having  for dinner and ask to see photos which I am more than happy to do.. cheers  dave and Andrea. 

Holiday 

We had a couple of days break in Skegness last week, and stayed at the Brackenhurst in Drummond Road. It seems we were lucky to get in, as we were told by another hotelier that the annual bowls final was on that week, and most of the hotels had been booked up well in advance. 

Dave and Andrea are very welcoming, and if you're into retro in any way shape or form, Dave will likely be happy to talk for hours on the subject. 

We had a ground floor room (no 10), and while it was convenient (no stairs), in fairness it wasn't the biggest room that we've ever stayed in, but neither was it the smallest. The whole place was very clean and the room well equipped, with the usual tea and coffee making facilities and complementary biscuits included in the price. 

There are three parking spaces at the front, and another at the back. Not sure if that means one for every room (probably best to check), but free street parking is available too, so that shouldn't be an issue. One thing I can definitely recommend is the best Italian Restaurant we have found to date - anywhere. Tarantino's is just two minutes walk along Drummond Road, serving easily the best fillet steak and pastas we have had anywhere. Don't forget to book though - it gets very busy. 

But I digress. 
Back to Brackenhurst. 
The bed was comfortable and the shower room was fairly spacious, and hand wash and shampoo were provided. 

There was a flat screen TV on the wall which did the job well enough, although it was a little small compared with what we are used to. Also would have been nice if we could have logged in to Netflix, but I suppose you can't have everything, and in truth we didn't go there to watch TV ;) 

Another minor gripe was there was probably a bit too much furniture in the room during our stay. There were two comfortable armchairs, one of which was always in the way of the wardrobe doors. Also, there was a small table which we felt was a bit 'in the way' most of the time too, neither of which we felt were really necessary. Sadly, this made the room feel a little cramped. 

We opted for a stay without breakfast included, as we generally tend to go off and do our own thing. The cost was reasonable for what is generally on offer in the area, and anyone who knows Skegness will know that Drummond Road is handy for the town - only a few minutes walk to the centre. 

So, all in all, a very pleasant stay, and good value for what was on offer. 

Good Value. Friendly Helpful Host

Me and my mum who is in her young 80’s has just had 5 nights here. We cannot express enough how absolutely over whelmed we was with David and Andrea’s hospitality from initial booking to stay and saying goodbye. We have stayed and owned a caravan in Skegness for well over 20 years now we have found this absolutely gem of a place we will be staying every time possible. It is absolutely spotlessly clean. I dont do breakfast but mum does she said it was absolutely amazing and like an all day breakfast as she couldn’t eat anything else all day. Thank you for helping to make precious memories xxxx

Fantastic a Gem of a find

If you're looking for a guest house in Skegness you won't find anywhere better than the Brackenhurst. It's in a great location, just a short stroll to the centre and the clock tower. The hosts, Dave and Andrea, are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. The accommodation is spotlessly clean throughout. We stayed in Room 5 which is spacious, tastefully furnished with plenty of storage space. As well as tea, coffee and biscuits, water is replenished daily and hand wash/shower gel available in the bathroom. They even provided me with a mini fridge for the room to keep my soya milk chilled! The breakfast room is delightful with its seaside theme and the breakfast is cooked to perfection with top quality ingredients. All in all the Brackenhurst is an absolute gem and we cannot fault it. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in Skegness. 

The best guest house in Skegness

Lovely clean comfortable room, breakfast was extra but well worth it. Hosts Andrea and Dave were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
Guest house was in walking distance of the main shopping area, restaurants and beach.
Nice little extra feature was the small display of nostalgic items mainly from the 70's and 80's which bought back many memories.

Lovely Guest House, good location

Our wonderful hosts, Dave and Andrea gave us such a warm welcome and throughout our short stay they were so helpful and caring. 
We had the deluxe double room, everything from bedding, toiletries, etc. was kept clean and tidy and a comfortable room.
Going down into the dinning room in the mornings was a pleasure, with a good choice of cereals and cooked breakfast, anything you asked for was not too much trouble to please you.
We would highly recommend this guest house and the property is  situated not too far from the seafront and town centre. 
We will definitely come again, Dave and Andrea were such a caring couple.

Such A Warm Welcome

We just got back from our stay here. The room was spacious and comfortable. Plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. The whole place was very clean. The hosts Dave and Andrea were fantastic. The breakfast was delicious. There is a garden area to sit in which is lovely and relaxing. We had a fab time and would definitely stay again .

Stayed for 3 nights in June lovely spotless guest house everything catered for warm comfortable rooms all en suite and Dave and Andrea welcoming mine hosts its in ideal location lovely quiet area but just a 5 minute walk into the centre highly recommended
