This place isn't your conventional bed and breakfast to stay we were down for a wedding and stayed there 

Was extremely clean and everything was immaculate 

Would recommend to anyone who wants something a bit different 

My husband, my son and I stayed overnight at this lovely country house on 10 October.  The house is lovely especially the large living room with conservatory and piano. Breakfast was freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. Nigel and Angela did a great job of making us all feel at home. We had a lovely stay and look forward to going back.

Great quirky place to visit 

Relaxing

Stayed for one night in November.
Clean room but was cold both during the night and in the morning.
No coffee and tea making facilities in the room.
Plug sockets for hairdryer did not allow use of mirror as cord did not reach.
Very good breakfast and pleasant hosts.
Not luxury enough for price.
Not very friendly wording on the info sheets .......10 am deadline is not the best way to inform guests of check out time.

Not what we expected and not luxury.

Having called ahead to say that I had been stuck in traffic and would be arriving at around 22.30, I did not think that this was too much of an unreasonable hour and was pleased when I finally pitched up at 22.18. After a 6.5hr drive, I was tired, hungry and reasonably fed up and went straight to bed, which was not the most comfortable! The room really needs a new mattress or at least some sort of topper.

The next morning, over breakfast, I was very politely told that there would be a £20 late fee for arriving after 22.00. Apparently they "have to charge this, otherwise people turn up at all hours", which I can totally appreciate. However, this is not a legal requirement, they in fact "choose" to charge this. The proprietor rushed off to sort out the bill, whilst I was still eating and asked how I would like this presented. Not at all, sprung to mind, but I was too polite to say so.

Being an NHS nurse on business, we are allocated £60 per night for accommodation, so this additional charge had to come out of my own pocket. Being a third of the cost of the overall accommodation, I was incredibly put out that I was charged £20 for 18mins (The most expensive wee at a service station I have ever had!). Could a staggered fee be implemented. £5 for up to 30mins, £10 for up to 60mins etc. This was at least have been more palatable to stomach, but no, £20 was charged.

There was no indication of this on the main page of their website or on the booking.com page. It is in the small print when you book. If they are going to charge a third of the cost, at least make it clear, so that people can choose to find an alternative if it looks as if they may be late. Having worked that morning, I had been unable to get away at my allocated time of 15.30 but had left at 16.00 with Sat Nav stating that 4.5hrs would be the estimated length of my journey. Horrific traffic, proved it wrong!

Being one of a group of six nurses who need to come up to Norwich to stay for one night a month, I had been tasked to feed back to the other nurses if I found anywhere suitable to stay, which was close to where we needed to work. This accommodation was literally 5mins away and appeared ideal. However, I will not be recommending this place to the group, or anyone else, and will use the business card (which was happily presented to me in which to book again when I come on business) as a book mark. "Don't bother with the website, book direct," I was happily told, although there is no difference in cost to me, but clearly they don't pay the Booking.com fee. "I won't have to charge you if you arrive a little late, that way," but why do you now? Do Booking.com have time police that register my arrival and  force them to charge me extra?

I think a little discretion is needed, particularly if they are looking for repeat business. Unfortunate as I could have sent six bookings their way each month, but in light of a huge charge, despite calling to notify them, none of us will be staying there.

Charged £20 for arriving 18mins late!!!

Where do we start. Firstly the road. The last half mile to this very remote property is due. A muddy uneven extensively potholed muddy track that's borderline accessible in normal car. This badly needs rectifying and if it isn't guests should be warned. 

We stayed in the only on suite room which was very expensive for what it  is. No tea or coffee facilities in room. No plug near any mirror for hair. No shelf in bathroom for wash things. Heating very inadequate and bath took far too long to run. 

The only good thing was the breakfast but at the prices they charge a complete disaster overall.
