Summer Stays at The University of Edinburgh

We stayed here to visit the Military Tattoo. The accommodation cost around half the price of nearby budget hotels and was exceptional value. All the staff from the reception team to restaurant staff were so friendly, efficient and cheerful and made us feel very welcome. The rooms are as you would expect for a Uni but clean and the towels were lovely and fluffy. The only downside was the banging of communal doors as people came and went but that is pretty much the same wherever you stay. The meals were of exceptional quality, we had booked breakfast for each day but you could pay for dinners there. There was so much choice for every meal, the food was delicious and piping hot. There were plenty of free drinks on offer or for the evening meal you could buy a drink in the adjoining bar if you wanted something that wasn’t on offer in the restaurant. There was plenty of seating even though we were there at the busiest time of year. Overall I think it would be hard to find better value for money.
