Large comfy beds, fridge with fresh milk, quality biscuits and a great bath room with a large bath and separate shower, everything you need for a perfect stay.

10 minute walk down to Padstow with the bus across the road.

Yvonne was friendly and accommodating.

Highly recommend.

Super b&b

Due to my wife's disability, for this visit, we were given Room 1 on the ground floor. The room was beautiful, as I know all the rooms are. We were there for 3 nights, and the room, dining area was superb, all kept very clean. The breakfast is wonderful, and really makes the day start off great, Marc & Jan are superb hosts, there is nothing they will not do for you. Thanks again to you both, we hope to see you again next year. Love Chris & Brenda xx

Short Break at Canterbury House 

Stayed 2 nights and this place is spotless with attention given to detail...even a small decanter of port in the room!. The room we had was huge and the bathroom accomadated a "double" bath and walk in shower. 
Yvonne was a great host and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The breakfast was a wholesome continental style although she offered to cook eggs if you wanted. Being Cornish she offered advice on the local area and how to get around

Fantastic two day break

Not welcoming or friendly,focussed on reviews.Ask about a Full English(she advertises on own website)and you get thrown out.Go to The Old Custom House instead,much friendlier,welcoming and recommended

Great to be back and see Yvonne once again. This is a lovely b&b; well maintained, parking included and, rare for this industry, not offering the usual calorie-laden traditional breakfast. Instead you can have eggs anyway you like, and often with smoked salmon. An array of fresh fruits, cereals and other simple breakfast fare make this a fabulous and refreshing start to the day. And if you are lucky there may even be  be home-made flapjacks too.

Wonderful host

This is an exceptionally well run B&B, the hosts are really hospitable and the accommodation modern, well stocked and clean. Breakfast was well presented and generous. Location is a bit outside of town but a really enjoyable stay. Thanks Yvonne.

A well run Bed and Breakfast

Yvonne is a wonderful host and myself and hubby had a great time for our anniversary. The Poldark room is beautiful with the added addition of a fridge. Handy to store our champagne!  Yvonne provides bottled water and fresh milk and there is complementary sherry. The bed was a king and so comfortable. Breakfast was continental including eggs and the bread was one of the best I’ve had.
It’s only ten minutes walk to Padstow but there is a bus stop near that goes there,  if needed. 
I Highly recommend the  Padstow B and B.

Please note:  This review is written in reference to events that occurred during the process of our cancelling a reservation in February, seven weeks prior to our proposed stay in April. 

We were faced with a COVID-derived flight cancellation with no substitute flights available to accommodate our arrival during the week of our prepaid 5-day stay at this property in April.  We immediately emailed the property owner and asked if we could apply our $766 payment as credit to a future stay.  No acknowledgement of this question followed.

Instead, we were coerced into initiating and accepting a cancellation through our booking agent, Agoda, who would withhold 30% of our money.  Money that normally would’ve been automatically returned to us along with the other 70% that we received from Agoda in 2 days – that is, automatically if the property owner had only consented to the waiver twice requested of her through Agoda.  Instead the 30% money was to be credited to her.  She managed to do this by (falsely) assuring us in her emails (dated 2/16) that:  “I will not take monies from you… then I will be able to waive fees”.  It is obvious now that this stunt of hers was meant to deceive us into thinking she would somehow be the person responsible for returning the remaining 30% to us.   

From that point on – while holding the money she said belonged to us – she either ignored our emails or told us to sort it out with Agoda (who had only done exactly what she instructed them to do).  Later she told us to sort it out by ourselves, which is ludicrous.  At this point we didn’t feel we could trust her with our bank account number, so we gave her the option of crediting our credit card.  Alternatively, we told her she could return the 30% money to Agoda, or —  if she hadn’t received any money from Agoda yet as she said — she could simply tell Agoda to credit us.  Her response was:  "don't bother with any more e mails shall be sending money to the Ukraine"

I am posting this to caution others not to give ANY money upfront to this property.  There is a high likelihood that you will lose money should cancellation for any reason be necessary.  Two other reviews on TripAdvisor had experiences similar to ours.

Beware!

Just stayed the weekend here.  Yvonne is a lovely host her room was beautiful and spotlessly clean. She is very welcoming and we felt very at home there.   Fabulous huge bath as well as large shower.     Breakfast was very good and next time we come to Padstow we will try and get booked in here again.   Short walk into town and very easy to park by the bed and breakfast which is a big bonus in Padstow.

We just had the pleasure of staying at this lovely bed and breakfast. Yvonne is a fantastic hostess and made us very welcome. We were really surprised to be brought a lovely bottle of Prosecco, a lovely touch, and much appreciated! The whole place is spotlessly clean, and very tastefully decorated. Our room was very comfortable with every facility you could need. We even had a decanter of Port and a jar of nuts, as well as tea, coffee and bottled water. The bathroom was as good as any we have had anywhere and the products provided were really lovely. The bed was extremely comfortable and looked out onto Yvonne’s very well tended garden. Breakfast was Continental, but Yvonne will cook you eggs any way you wish! My poached eggs were top notch! There is also a lovely selection of fresh fruit, cereals, croissants - you won’t go hungry! Parking at the front of the property is a much appreciated bonus! Thank you Yvonne, and we hope to see you again before too long.
