Where do we begin when reviewing Collaig house? The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming, the rooms (we rented both) were spotlessly clean comfortable and tastefully decorated. The breakfast does stand out for special mention though. The bacon and sausages were home produced and there was lovely fruit salad. Even the coffee was outstanding! Quite wonderful locally produced smoked salmon and scrambled eggs were provided as an alternative to the traditional Scottish breakfast. There was also home made shortbread in the rooms. Collaig house is certainly remote and enjoys stunning views down Loch Awe as a result. There is plenty to do and see within a short drive. This was a memorable and wonderful stay. We hope to stay here again soon!
