Witchwood House Oban

We've never been to Oban before and we chose this hotel as it was one of the best prices for two nights during our tour of Scotland. We arrived early afternoon to a very warm welcome from Iona and shown to our 'room' at the back of the hotel. It was huge!! I'm not sure what we were expecting, but it far exceeded it! There are a row of rooms with doors opening onto a small gravel garden area with sun chairs and benches for everybody to use. We had one of these. The room was huge and more like an apartment, there were two large double beds, chairs, fridge (full of water, juice, yoghurts), tv, tea/coffee and a large airy bathroom with a great shower. It was fantastic. The car park is ample for the hotel and it was easy to park. It's located right on the front overlooking the bay with amazing views. It's a 5 minute walk into the centre along the bay where there are some lovely shops and restaurants. We wanted to go to Tobermory and found this to be very easy from the ferry terminal at a cost of around £14 for the two of us as foot passengers. We had a lovely two night stay here and thoroughly recommend it.
