Glenmore Country House B & B

Had a lovely visit and the host was very friendly. We enjoyed the countryside, the walk to the local pub, and the quiet. Enjoyed the view from our room. Breakfast was great. The room was lovely. Has genuine character.

We had a really lovely stay here. The house is gorgeous and in a stunning location with panoramic views of the Loch. Thanks to our hosts Melissa and Alastair who were very welcoming and could not have been more helpful regarding things to do in the area. The room was very comfortable and when we opened the curtains in the morning the view was to die for! All in all we couldn't recommend it more. Oh and the breakfast was great too!

This B and B was very nice with friendly hosts. The location was very pretty with lovely views. We were served tea and scones when we arrived. There was a large lounge area for guests. The washroom was split in two for our room, toilet in one, tub and sink in the other.

Lovely Country Cottage

Lovely old building.

A mixed experience. Lovely dog, the duvets are great and the house is lovely. Alastair is very laid back and helpful, room was lovely. But we were told before we booked, we were gonna get a deal, when booking for two nights, by Alastair’s wife. This was never fulfilled.
We also wrote an email, to an adress we already had received a reply from, that we left a towel and were passing through town again, to which we never got a reply.

A mixed experience

This lovely home is bit the worse for wear .. the mattress in particular had seen better days.  That said the host was charming and welcoming and provided a lovely tea on our arrival.  The area was having water issues so we were told to please only take minimal showers if we had to.  Sad to see old family homes so expensive to keep up.  The rooms were spotless and clean.  

Tired old home

I was really looking forward to this B&B. The reviews made me think it was really something special. The first impression was the driveway up to the house, not much more than a two track mud road. Poor directional signs leading to the house. What this is, is a DUMP.  We waited in the lobby for 10 minutes before a scruffy looking young man came out. I told him who I was and was then shown to the worst room in the house. Dirty yellow walls, lumpy bed (actually two beds shoved together to make a queen size. Across the hall was the bathroom, cracked tiles on the walls, vinyl (probably asbestos) tiles on the floor, nailed to keep in place. The shower only gave a trickle of water since the mixing valve was loose. Plaster on the ceiling was chipped and cracking. The toilet was in a separate room, rolls of toilet paper stacked on a dirty wooden dowel. Went back down to pay the bill, was shown into a room full of people, supposedly the caretaker (?). The room reeked of stale cigarette smoke as well as a stinky dog. I would avoid this place.
