We stayed overnight at the Westfield on a trip to Hadrians Wall.  The family room is a good size with a seating area and en suite shower room.  There is off road parking and separate access so you do not need to go through the owners house.  The room is spotless and well heated.

Yvonne was very helpful and reserved a table for us at the pub across the road (The Red Lion - very good food).  There is a range of options for breakfast and we went fot the full English which was excellent.  Would recommend if travelling along or visiting Hadrians Wall.

We very much enjoyed our short stay in the centre of the lovely village of Newbrough at Westfield B&B, excellently situated for visits to Hadrian's Wall.  The breakfast room, our ensuite double room and its shower were all lovely and spacious, and the bed was enormous - super-king or queen sized and very comfortable.  With delicious cooked breakfasts and fresh milk in our own mini-fridge, and the very nice Red Lion pub over the road for local real ale and evening meals (meals available every evening but Sundays and Mondays) we ate and drank very well too.   A slight chill in the air one evening before the heating came on was soon dispelled with the plug-in heater in our room. We had our own entrance and parking space and Yvonne and Bob were very friendly and welcoming hosts.  We would happily have stayed longer and would like to return one day.

Only spent one night here but could have stayed longer. Lovely comfortable room, great night's sleep in a king sized bed, mini fridge with fresh milk, water and biscuits, tea and coffee making facilities and TV. Everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was amazing, cooked by Yvonne and served by Bob - excellent hosts. Can't think of a single negative and can't recommend too highly.

No room at my mother's house so we stayed conveniently down the road. Had the garden room overlooking the fields, very comfortable. On site parking. Delicious breakfasts in a lovely room which was originally the village shop.

Lovely breakfast and friendly hosts.
However we did find the Garden Room Accommodation rather gloomy and needing to have the lights on. If the side window had not been screened with an immovable blind (there was a frosted glass pane behind) then the room could have been much lighter.
Lots of cushions and brocade furnishings is not to my personal taste but it was comfortable and clean, with nice touches like fresh milk for tea.
Would hesitate about returning because of the depressing room - little natural light.
Bonus - the local pub serves excellent food and we ate here in the evening.

Other reviewers rated as a "5" which was high praise indeed and makes me wonder where else they have stayed, but booked based on their input. The ground level room we received had dated furnishings to step around and a caricature picture of "The Lion King" over the bed (?). Far too many throw rugs to trip on in an attempt to keep the carpeting clean.  Could have done without the multitude of cautionary signs posted everywhere asking not to open the window or dirty the rugs for "other" visitors, I thought I left my mother at home. The room heater had a mind of it's own with no way to mitigate the temperature so if you like it toasty right next to your bed then this room is for you. On the "up" side the parts which would warrant a "5" would be the pastoral view of the sheep across the pasture outside the door and the happy disposition of Yvonne the proprietor. This B& B is a solid "3", reserve accordingly.

Average says it all

Apparently known as the Garden room.  A spacious room marred by loose rugs, unopening windows, sellotaped advisory signs on many surfaces and a general air of being 15 years out of date. Such a shame as previous glowing reviews led me to believe this was the  B and B I was looking for.
Breakfast was reasonable and the host, Yvonne was pleasant and helpful.
