The Montcalm Brewery has great charm and history but as many others have stated its biggest accolade is its staff. From the moment we arrived to leaving all of them went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Unfortunately on our first night our air conditioning failed but we were moved to a new room the next morning only to find a bottle of wine with chocolate dipped strawberries and macrons awaiting us, we were also given complimentary breakfast for our entire stay. The hotel itself has some great history if you take the time to read the plaques and pictures on the walls and although it may not have the look of a 5 star ‘up west’ or NYC hotel it really matters how the establishment makes you feel, for this the Montcalm gets 5 stars. Located in a quiet street and just just a 5 min walk from Liverpool Street or Moregate station which has a direct Elizabeth Line train to Heathrow or Central Line to the West End. In short I highly recommend the Montcalm Brewery and will certainly stay again.
