This hotel provided a substantial breakfast, warm room, comfy beds, clean shower with instant hot water and a great location. If you are arriving by coach at Victoria, the hotel is ten minutes' walk away down St George's Drive….it's also a short walk from Victoria rail station. If you need a bus into the West End, turn left out of the hotel, cross the road and go along Charlwood St. to Belgrave Road and there's a bius stop for the 24 bus which will get you to Westminster, Trafalgar Square or all the way to Hampstead. The minuses ? You have to pay extra for a cooked breakfast, and the 'continental' breakfast, though very good, contains no protein ( cheese, meat or egg). The rooms need double glazing as extra insulation…but the central heating radiator in our room worked very well. Another plus - there was a  proper wardrobe, plenty of coffee and tea with the kettle, and plenty of toiletries and clean towels. We needed hardly any interaction with the staff, but all seemed well organised and efficient. For short stay in London, there are far worse places.

MORE PLUS THAN MINUS

This nice family hotel annex B&B is located very near to Pimlico underground. A nice short walk with some small shops and your sightseeing London is a foot. Just 2 minutes from Victoria Station, just 15 minutes by underground to West-End, everything is near when staying at St George's Pimlico. We had a wonderful bright and airy room, with a great view across St George's Drive. No too much trafic, although we had a room at the front. Breakfast is basic, not too much but just enough to get started. And you can always order a full English breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages and plenty of toast. Really, a family friendly hotel and staff is enthousiastic and helpful.

Great view, easy traveling

St George's is a small hotel spread over two unconnected buildings just over 5 minutes walk from Pimlico station.  It is not too far from Victoria but is clearly at the Pimlico end.  Set in a relatively quiet street it looks nice from the outside as do all the houses in this area.

The unusual setup of having two separate parts to the hotel gives it an odd feel.  The feeling is not helped by having the more prominent sign on the building that is not the reception so turning up it is much more obvious to go the wrong door rather than the main one.

The buldings have step access.  Five steps up to each and then inside the building there are staircases to the upper levels.  Access is a real problem as even for those who are fully mobile it is quite a stretch to get a suitcase and a person through the two doors into the room.

Check-in was great.  It was possible to check-in a few hours in advance which was an unexpected bonus.  Check-out was also prompt.  Payment was taken at the check-in desk on arrival.

Service was fairly friendly but with no way in to the main building it is a bit odd.  The service at breakfast was particularly friendly even if not really necessary.

Breakfast buffet was fairly limited.  It includes yoghurt, small croissants, some tinned fruit, and packets of cereal.  Toast is provided in a rack.  The dining area is simple.

The rooms are small and not particularly well-maintained.  There was a little bit of space to stand up in either side of the bed but not much.  Hardly any space to put a suitcase.  There is a small wardrobe but the door doesn't slide all the way across.  A hair dryer and kettle are the only amenities.  The bed was decent enough for sleep even if the sheeting and pillows were clearly quite old.  

The shower area was not great at all.  There was lots of mould.  The cistern made a small amount of noise for a long time.  The shower door did not close properly.  The bathroom area needed a major overhaul.  The towels were thin and there was no floor towel that could be dedicated to mopping up the inevitable splash given the door problems.

Upon departure it was possible to leave suitcases but that meant just finding a space in the reception area to wedge them.

St George's is designed like a budget hotel.  The price for the quality is far too high.  The sleeping conditions are ok but the lack of space, the terrible shower area, and the limited breakfast were not up to the cost.

Poor Budget Hotel

Convenient location.   Very overpriced at £85 for one night for the type of room booked but I guess that's what staying on Valentine's night will do!!!  
Pictures online are deceiving.  Room very small and basic.  Ditto for bathroom.  Decor could do with a bit of TLC.  Stayed in room 9 on the second floor which was not too bad.  The fact there is no lift should be highlighted in a more prominent place when booking.  Found this information in the small print.  Not a problem for us but for less mobile guests.......!  

Disappointed

I stayed for one night in this hotel. The view from my room was absolutely gorgeous, typically English landscapes, I would stay again just to wake up to that. The continental breakfast was okay too. The staff was also lovely, super efficient and helpful, I asked for a hair dryer and they were on my door within 5 minutes...which is probably average waiting time but if you consider the lack of elevator and the crazy, non luggage-friendly staircase, these girls are pros. It was also all very clean and cozy for a chilling February night. Hot water does take a LONG time to reach higher floors but once it does, it's boiling hot. 

Overall I would recommend this to anyone passing by and that is not into hanging in their room all day, it's a practical hotel (location, size, features) and usually practical goes with ugly or depressing, you-get-what-you-pay-for treatment and this is an exception, it's a charming little hotel with superb customer service.

Cute hotel covering all the basics

We stayed for two nights in this hotel. What would most highlight was the cleanliness, perfectly clean although some old furniture. Daily change of towels and soaps and gels in the bathroom. The staircase gives a little bit of vertigo especially as you go above and below. Good heating. Personal distance at the reception, not so in the breakfast with charming camareros and even trying to speak in Castilian. Basic but complete breakfast, with good quality. Very close to a victoria y Pimlico (metro 5 minutes away).

Buen bed and breakfast.

I stayed for 3 nights in the weekend in St. George's Pimlico. The hotel is located in Victoria area which is very central. The hotel is very near to bus station (Pimlico Academy) where you can take buses to center of London. 10 minutes from the hotel, there is an underground station (Pimlico) for faster moving around the city. Also, 10 minutes from the hotel to Victoria train station. So, the hotel is perfectly located with relatively good price. The hotel also offers breakfast, free WiFi. 

Although the room is relatively small, but it was very clean, and serviced daily. It was a very good experience.

3 Weekend Nights in St. George's Pimlico

I arrived late from Stansted to London so I was looking for a night sleep near the Victoria Station.
This was a so so option if you consider the price and what you get for what you pay.

Reception: Fine, basic
Location: Its close to the Victoria Train Station so a good option if you arrive late with the shuttle from Stansted airport.
Room: Small, small but not extremely small, the bad things with this old places is that you can smell the humidity on the bathroom
Breakfast: Didnt like this one, i booked with breakfast included, as I read it was good but when I arrive I learnt that you have to pay extra to have meat in your breakfast other way just toast and juice.
Will I come back? If there's not another option for a night sleep around, maybe

Basic one, even more basic breakfast included but good location

I booked a double room (room 16) on booking.com at a bargain price of £39 and was quite pleased with the room I had. The wifi was excellent. The breakfast was very average and the person running it couldn't understand more than a handful of English words so my request for soya milk (on the menu) was not understood. The only other grumble is that the weak-on-water-pressure shower had almost no hot water so it was a cold shower for me. Despite this - and, yes, all those stairs! - I would stay again. Pimlico is an excellent location, and I say this as someone who lived there for 10 years. Central but quiet and everything is walking distance (or a short Boris bike ride away).

I was quite pleased on the whole

We visited for a night in January to see some friends and were happy to have a fairly basic place to stay. However, we called in advance to find out where the parking was (as advertised on booking.com) and there is none associated with the hotel, but a local and public car park. This is fine but not appropriate to be advertising it as their own. 
The receptionist was polite and helpful, no worries there. We were offered a room on the fourth floor, which was up several flights of rather treacherous stairs. The room was fine but small, and not at all as per the photos on the website. It also smelt pretty badly, there was no fan in the toilet and the window was not able to be opened. 
We didn’t have the breakfast in the end so can’t comment on this but there was not enough water pressure to have a shower in the morning, and the little water that did come out was cold. Although the stay was fine, and the location is great, I still think that £70 per room was too much to pay for such basic service.
