Polraen Country House

For many years now, whenever we visit our beloved Cornwall, Polraen has been our chosen venue. We had stayed at many fine BnB's in the area, and a few below-par ones, prior to finding this one, but the hospitality and amenities provided by Gill and Martin at Polraen are exceptional. Clean, comfortable, well-appointed, en-suite, rooms. Breakfast, consisting of a good variety of choices, served in a spacious conservatory overlooking a well-tended garden, is an absolute joy. My favourite is the Full English, but there is something for every taste. The tranquil location, with ready access to so many parts of this glorious county - Looe literally minutes away - makes it a wonderful "jumping off spot" for exploration. The stone circle at Duloe is a little-known point of pre-historic interest very nearby. Your hosts will be delighted to help you discover the area - or leave you to simply relax if that is your preference. You will be invited to bring a take-out meal into the dining area in the evening, if you prefer to eat-in rather than dine-out all the time. That shows the level of consideration you will find at Polraen.
