Orchard House Bed and Breakfast

Very clean and organised, warm and comfortable. Good breakfast. Mary is very accommodating and took our ice blocks for the food we had in our cold box so we could keep our food cold.  Interesting conversation at breakfast too. We love the views and area it is very quiet and the local tea room is worth a visit.

We had a lovely weekend here. The room was so comfy and the views were amazing from the window, we saw rabbits and sheep on the fields outside our bedroom window.
Breakfast was amazing and so tasty. Mary is a wonderful host and so knowledgeable about the area.
We walked to grassington and back. I cant  wait to come back again.
Best bed and breakfast we have stayed in.

Mary is the best host you could wish for . nothing is to much trouble. 
Food is spectacular.

An absolutely wonderful b&b with Mary the most fantastic host.
Set in the idyllic village of Hebden, location is perfect with a great pub serving meals, a five minute walk, Mary provides torches for coming back in the dark, and a lovely tea rooms across the road.
Orchard House is spotless and our en suite room had a huge comfy bed and great shower.
In the evening look out of the bedroom window across the fields watching the rabbits and if you’re lucky the barn owl.
Breakfast is a treat with Mary making sure you’ve got everything.
Already looking forward to going back next year

Orchard House is a traditional B & B efficiently run by Mary who was so friendly and welcoming throughout our stay.

Our comfortable super king size bedroom was well furnished with plenty of storage, a flat screen TV and a very welcome tea and coffee tray.  The ensuite bathroom was huge and there were plenty of towels and some complimentary soap.

Breakfast is ordered the evening before on a simple wipe board.  Choices included the usual full English components along with cereals, fruit, yoghurt, toast, tea,coffee, juice etc.  

There is a lounge which guests can use until 9pm and there were books and some board games and packs of cards on the first floor landing.

Mary has lots of helpful notes dotted around the cottage to enable you to get the most out of your stay.  Mary is a local lass, growing up on a nearby sheep farm and is a font of all knowledge with regards to places to visit and eating establishments in the area.

The cottage is very clean and we felt well looked after.  Thank you Mary for a very enjoyable stay.

Excellent accommodation. Very clean and comfy. Lovely cooked breakfast. Mary, the Host was lovely and was happy to chat and is knowledgeable about the area. Would definitely book again. We arrived when foggy and drove straight past. You need to look for the white sign on the side of the road, and the cottage is a few yards up a muddy track.

Mary is the perfect host and made us feel at home immediately.
The accommodation and facilities are first class, huge en suite room and a great comfy bed.
Breakfast is provided with local ingredients, fantastic sausages, and cooked to perfection.
We’ve been coming to the area for many years but Mary was able recommended visits that we’d not been to before.
Try a visit to the local pub, the Clarendon, good food and atmosphere.
Mary even provides torches for your walk home in the dark!
If you want a stress free few days, this is place!

We have just enjoyed a perfect relaxing 2 night stay at Orchard House which is owned by Mary. The accommodation is spotless and the breakfast was excellent with incredible attention to detail by Mary to ensure that her guests are comfortable. Mary shared her knowledge of the local area and the walks from the door of Orchard House which are easily accessible as well as recommending the local pub and The Old School Tea Room where we enjoyed excellent food. We will definitely stay at Orchard House again. 

Mary made us feel very welcome. I think she has thought out every eventuality and has enthusiastic local knowledge. The accommodation is great, the breakfast lovely and the locality stunning. We would totally recommend orchard house.

My stay has been absolutely wonderful. Mary is the perfect host. She spent time with us explaining different walks we can take, giving local recommendations and her attention to detail was really impressive. We had a lovely breakfast made every morning where she carefully catered to individual needs (lactose free). The room was comfortable and the surroundings picturesque. If you are wanting a quiet trip away with beautiful scenery, don’t hesitate to book Mary’s place! There is also only one more room in the B&B meaning there’s a lot of privacy and attention to the guest. 🌸

Wonderful and picturesque

For the 4th time my partner and I have had an enjoyable stay at Orchard House. We love the calm and peaceful location, the comfortable well-appointed room which we book and the personal care and attention which Mary devotes to ensuring a good and relaxing experience. She offers good breakfast choice, including vegetarian and vegan options, food is freshly prepared and high quality - and  local knowledge and advice is available in abundance. Orchard House is definitely our "Go-to" choice for a stay in Wharfedale and the surrounding Dales.

We loved our stay at this beautiful little cottage, just two double rooms available meant it was peaceful and we were given a very personal experience.

The rooms were clean, well equipped with anything you could want including a torch, corkscrew, hairdryer, leaflets for the area including driving distance from the b&b and of course tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits!

Our breakfast was made to order and all excellent as well, vegetarian and vegan options available too. Thank you for such a lovely, comfortable and peaceful stay.
