Stayed in one of the cottages for 3 nights. Fantastic scenery and accommodation. Very warm welcome from Brenda and what a view from the patio. Highly recommend it and looking forward to returning soon.

Another 3 night stay with Brenda. Faultless as always with attention to detail impeccable. Great fresh breakfast as usual. Have stayed in many places around this area and Hedley hall surpasses them all. will certainly be back.

Does not disappoint

Last week, I stayed at Hedley Hall for the 5th time (my daughter is at Newcastle University, so it's an ideal base), this time with my daughter. The rooms are lovely and clean, with comfortable and BIG beds. Fresh fruit, biscuits and chocolates are always in the room, and fresh milk (no silly little cartons! is brought up when we arrive. It is set in wonderfully peaceful grounds.
One warning though-take the initial shared driveway off the road slowly-there are a lot of potholes, some of them very deep (once you're onto Hedley Hall's driveway, everything is fine).

Another relaxing and welcoming three night visit. Warm welcome from Brenda. Love this place. Wouldn't go anywhere else in the area. Food fresh and beautifully cooked. Will be back. Quiet location in beautiful surroundings. Spotlessly clean

Amazing

Great location outside Newcastle. If you're a 15-minute drive from the city centre, this is the ideal place to finish your Scottish holiday in England and then board the ship. Large and clean rooms with all the comforts and the housewife always on site. Breakfast is a dream. Everything is freshly prepared with fresh produce. Anyway, I wasn't there the last time. Unfortunately, the entrance is not always asphalted. It's definitely not suitable for sports cars.

The whole estate has the most wonderful setting amidst beautiful countryside approached by a narrow lane.We chose to stay in one of their four little cottages situated around a lovely courtyard(great parking) Inside is immaculate and tastefully furnished with a well appointed kitchen.The cottage has been carefully adapted to meet the requirements of any person with a disability. The en suite in the master bedroom is enormous with a superb wet room area.Patio doors lead out to a very  private garden with lots of shrubs,our only visitor being a golden pheasant.We would highly recommend Hedley Hall for a quiet peaceful holiday only 2miles from Beamish and so near Newcastle and Durham.

Hadley Hall Cottages

A few kilometres south of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, in the north-east of the English countryside, a very peaceful guest room that gained notoriety, even by the word receive. We had a triple room with a private bathroom. Everything was clean, impeccable and decorated with great taste. From the thick carpet to the staircase as well as in the room. Little attention on arrival, in the room that always pleases like a fruit basket, a tea/cafe tray and cookies. In the dining room, the tables are knitted with nice rubles, available with quality toiletries, a moisturized and dry dishes. When the dining room windows were in the dining room, it was a great time to read and relax. It would be a great way to spend time with our lovely animals.
