What a lovely warm welcome from Ben Nicola and the lovely Molly!
The food was exceptional- we had the beef brisket and ham and eggs and both meals were delicious- sneak peek at the rooms which look cosy and comfortable- will definitely be recommending and definitely be back again and wish them lots of success for the future- hopefully see you soon! X

Visited the KH this weekend for an overnight stay - Mark and Karen welcomed us and we stayed for the night - dinner bed and breakfast - the pub is a warm, friendly and proper Yorkshire Dales pub- the menu is extensive and caters for all dietary needs - the food is excellently cooked and presented and the beer selection super- the wine is also cracking so can fully recommend a stay . Slept like a dream and breakfast was excellent. Mark and Karen really work hard to ensure your stay is good and what great folks they are - good luck to them running the pub and we will defo be back A loved it 🙏👌🏻👍🏻

The Kings Head is a traditional pub with rooms above - but no noise problems (unless you consider church bells to be noise). Friendly innkeepers, super atmosphere, made us feel welcome. The staff were very responsive to requests (e.g. oat milk in drinks, porridge for breakfast). Comfy bedroom, incredible location (first time in Wharfedale - blown away).

We visited The Kings Head this past Sunday for tea and the food was amazing! We both had the topside of beef roast dinner and it did not dissapoint. Great, friendly service, a varied menu to choose from as well as great drinks on draught. Dog friendly as well, which was great for us as we were staying at the campsite nearby so had to bring our little guy with us. Would definitely recommend and will return if in the area again.

Called into this pub for a drink whilst staying in the village at a different venue with my son.  Mark and Karen have recently taken over this place and are absolutely brilliant, they are so friendly and welcoming and we had a real laugh with them and also the other lady behind the bar (didn't get her name). We enjoyed their hospitality so much, we returned the following night too. I will definitely be returning to the village of Kettlewell and  will look at staying here.  Mark and Karen definitely deserve to do well with their new venture at this pub.

First time visit to The kings head, 2nd time to Kettlewell, lovely little village and it’s the pubs that make the visit worth while and to me Mark and Karen were very welcoming and very accommodating.  We arrived at a very busy time and they still managed to get us booked in as we were happy to eat when they were able to  fit us in.  We went in again following evening to watch England and they were happy for us to move furniture around to get a good view for the match and make sure everyone was comfortable. The staff were very friendly and chatty.  We had steak and ale pie all home made and very tasty, overall a very welcoming experience, we will definitely be returning to kettlewell and will recommend this pub for food  and drinks with a welcoming atmosphere!

We had a meal here and I had the nicest Cheese and onion pie I've ever had.  It had caramelised  onions in it.
The others had Beef brisket which was cooked slowly for 10 hrs. Delicious.
The staff couldn't have been nicer.  They are quite new but couldn't have given us a better welcome.

Tried all the hotels/pubs in Kettlewell this week and this place had the best food and service in town. It had been a cold day and it was great to see the log burner in full blaze. We had booked a table and were warmly welcomed. Food arrived promptly, well presented and delicious. Have booked a return visit.

Just had one of the most delicious Sunday lunches I’ve ever eaten in beautiful surroundings and a roaring log fire.
Just reopened under new ownership a week ago.

Attentive new proprietors - one being the chef with clearly many years of his art. His partner is front of house and was very accommodating and friendly.

I had a very generous piece of Succulent brisket with all the trimmings cooked to perfection. Being coeliac was no problem at all and I wasn’t made to feel like an alien which can sometimes be the case!
Tastefully renovated and top spec . Even the napkins were of the highest quality. 

The energy is good and there I would really recommend this place whole heartedly. I asked to look at the bedrooms ( so accommodating) which are all spanking new and wasn’t disappointed-have booked to stay for our birthdays in a couple of weeks time and am already dreaming of the delicious food.
Wishing this lovely couple all the luck in the world - I’m sure they will soon be booked up!

Went here for an evening meal and what a surprise, the food was fabulous, monkfish with all yummy sauce but make sure you order a bowl of chips as this finishes off the sauce, I would have liked to lick my plate. This was followed by raspberry parfait, yummy ness on a plate, hats off to the chef!
I also wanted to say that the 2 young people who were out front deserved double wages as they served drinks inside and out, covered the bookings and serving of all meals and all of this with a happy, professional manner. This place is a lovely find and long May it reign.

What a delight!

The previous review sounds like a Jeremy Clarkson incident and may not be aware of restrictions that are in place uk wide, we had a lovely time, staff very attentive and knowledgeable of local areas, halibut is cooked to perfection and far superior to pub grub, room William has the best view over the village and church yard, also ate at the sister pub the bluebell on our 1st night still good but pub grub. Devine breakfasts to start the day off, can't fault the place and service, we will return,
