The perfect getaway.  We have been coming to this hotel for over 20 years and we have always had a superb stay.  The rooms are spotlessly clean, there is free parking and the breakfasts are amazing! Our room had a four poster bed, a bath and Netflix, just brilliant. The staff and owners are so friendly and cannot do enough for you.  We would highly recommend Acorn House.  It is always our "go to" when visiting Keswick.  Highly recommended. Many thanks again, Alison & Andy xx

I stayed here for a night during the Easter weekend. The room and service was fabulous. There is car park off the road which makes staying in Keswick much easier. Breakfast was delicious. The location is excellent. I would definitely stay again.

We have just returned from beautiful Keswick after staying at Acorn House for 2 days. We cannot praise this B & B enough. The location was brilliant, literally a 5 minute walk into town,car parking which in Keswick is such a bonus. We were greeted by Chris, the owner on arrival who was lovely and gave us such a warm welcome. He showed us to our room ( no 6) which was a lovely big room with gorgeous views. A fabulous big bed amazingly comfy, with a ensuite with a great shower. A lovely welcome tray with loads of tea coffee & biscuits, not your usual 2 of everything. 
Our breakfasts was super tasty with plenty of choice and cooked to perfection  the staff being friendly & efficient too.
We will definitely be returning to this lovely Guest home. Thanks Chris & all at Acorn House.

Great breakfast . Comfy beds . Lovely owners who are very friendly and helpful .Great position. What else can you ask for ?Cannot recommend it enough and we will definitely be back.  

Really enjoyed our stay at Acorn House, great to have parking available and a lock-up for the bikes. Location was perfect to explore Keswick and the surrounding area, room was clean tidy and spacious, breakfast certainly filled us up ready for the days adventure, will certainly stay here again soon...

Excellent hotel lovely staff and amazing breakfasts couldn't ask for anything more highly recommend. Good location five minute walk  from the high street. Great market on a Saturday Morning and lovely food served on any of the pubs and not forgetting the chippy.All on all a great break .


The kindest, most thoughtful hosts, Janet, Graham, Vicky,  Chris. The real fire was a treat. Loved the breakfast and being able to order exactly what we desired the day before. The hotel is spotless. Warm and welcoming. Great parking, town an easy and short walk. Definitely will be back for a good old fashioned welcome. Lovely view from our room. Reasonably priced. Warm and cosy. 

Hotel close to the town although there is an incline which may not be suitable for people with mobility issues. We had requested a ground floor room as we find stairs difficult. Parking is available although neat. There are  a few steps up to the front door but it is possible to walk on the road to the other side of the front door where it's flatter. Key safe entry system worked fine but staff available when needed. Shower cubicle in room 1 on the small side but room clean and well provided with hospitality tray. All staff friendly and helpful and the food was excellent, well cooked and beautifully presented, especially the poached eggs! There is a lovely sitting room and dining room and also an outside seating area. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.

We stayed for one night whilst visiting friends in Keswick and we couldn’t have asked for more. Room 10 was tastefully decorated, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The bed was so comfortable. The breakfast was one of the nicest we’ve had. We will definitely return. Quite a few stairs up to room 10 but that was fine for us.

This a very welcoming small hotel in a very quiet area near the church.Although they have kept the key safe entry system we were greeted personally as soon as we stepped through the door. We had Room 2 which was very comfortable. The bathroom by necessity is small and the shower cubicle tiny, but did the job.There were nice touches in the room including wine glasses and corkscrew ( thank you). The hospitality tray was extremely generous and extra teabags were provided straight away when we asked.Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice, nicely presented and plenty of it. We certainly needed to get out walking after it! The car park was an absolute bonus and there was an attractive outside seating area. The biggest plus though has to be the staff.All of them were so professional, friendly and helpful.

Booked 3 rooms for a family weekend away after the bed & breakfast we had booked let us down. All of the staff we met were really friendly, lovely and accommodating. They pulled together tables so we could all eat breakfast together while we were there.

The rooms were all comfortable and clean. The hospitality tray was a really nice touch. Beds super comfy and lovely snuggly duvets.

Best breakfast we've had while staying away. Plenty of choice. All lovely and fresh. The granola jars are amazing. They even offer nice grab bags if you are off early in the morning. 

The car parking was great too.

We would not stay anywhere else now when in Keswick. We had a fantastic stay here and can't wait to go back!

Covid very secure! At every point of the stay every effort was made to keep us safe! Lovely room even though it was a climb to get there. Nice room everything good quality. Breakfast was excellent, locally sourced items prepared with care and as they asked us to choose a breakfast time the night before the food was freshly prepared for us and delivered promptly. Really Nice stay and hope we may get he opportunity to stay again sometime.

Lovely hotel, attention to detail.

Not been here for at least 7/8 yrs but remembered it as a great place for a short break. Booked in for a couple of nights at short notice & my memory proved reliable! Great location, & importantly, off-street parking so easy to load/unload stuff. Room was warm, clean & very comfy so we slept well. Breakfast choices were brilliant, the Lakeland Breakfast had to be tried again...mega!!! Staff were welcoming, very helpful & attentive, absolutely charming. I'd certainly recommend a visit to anyone thinking of Keswick.
